"like spray-painting the Mona Lisa" - good stuff!
ОтветитьYou could fix that sword and your dog, both neither would like it.
ОтветитьTake it to pawn stars!
ОтветитьJust wow.
ОтветитьNever "fix" antique swords. The patina is where the history & the $ are.
ОтветитьAm I the only one who thinks dude has the biggest dip under his lip....lol
Ответитьoh fixed? lady didn't i just tell you it would only be worth 750-1k?
ОтветитьFIXED...😂..He about feel out when she said that
ОтветитьRaf knows his stuff. But I have to agree with others. If you told me a wealthy civil war memorabilia collector was willing to pay $20k for this, I wouldn't bat an eye. It's an incredible item. But also one that I hope stays in that family!
ОтветитьYou could make a Civil War movie around that sword. 5k ? 👎
Ответить😮😮😮😮😮😮
ОтветитьAsking if it can be fixed shows how well she was paying attention.. sheesh
Ответить"like spray-painting the Mona Lisa!" :)
Ответить$5000? Come on.
ОтветитьWhat a priceless family heirloom. I hope she never sells it
ОтветитьWhat a family heirloom! I imagine museums would love to have this on exhibit. I hope she and her family display it with pride.
ОтветитьIt’s worth far more than that… to an avid collector.
ОтветитьProbably a .58 Caliber Minie Ball from a Confederate Enfield.
ОтветитьThat dude is wearing a $30k watch
Ответитьi would have thought much more for some reason.
ОтветитьYep.. it’s ppl like her is why history is being destroyed. 🙄 S f🤬k n’ I!
Ответитьhad he put it in. the correct way, this whole story would have not happened. Life and events are about timing. A second here or there changes everything.
ОтветитьThis sword clearly needs to be in another persons hand… he told her because of the bullet strike that it was worth 5000 and then she goes to ask can be fixed…
ОтветитьI’d say he’s way off on the value of the collection. He m a buyer all day for 5k
ОтветитьThat’s a crazy undervaluation. I’d pay her 5x that right now for that sword and I’d probably still be underpaying.
ОтветитьBelongs in a museum.
Ответитьsuch a terrible show...
ОтветитьThe family had the sword and a letter explaining what had happened, yet they knew nothing about it...... ummm...yeah..... speechless.....
ОтветитьShe ended up having it restored and hung it on the wall.
ОтветитьWomen are excellent listeners
ОтветитьJust thinking my head to use that sword to kill someone
ОтветитьI would like to get Raphel's address/ information, I have some family history during the Civil war,War, I need more information on!
ОтветитьJust for the record. I know if you art instructors that would spray paint the mona lisa and most of the De veggies work
Ответить$5k is low for something this unique
ОтветитьWho in their right mind mind would want to “fix” this damage or sell the artefact! You have to wonder about people’s intelligence when they would gladly trade family history 150 years old for a new piece of furniture!
ОтветитьIve aeen a few ID'D swords put in upside down in the sabbard. Wondered why, until I found one of the aoldiers was left handed. These swords are meant to be a right handed draw. Wonder if many lefties did it this way.
ОтветитьA musket ball from a rifle would have done far more damage. Ive seen a wax candle fired from a musket which went through 2inches of oak, then through 2 house bricks turning them to powder, then through several thick house roof tiles, before leaving a 1inch deep, 2inch wide dent in 1/4inch steel armour plate. That little dent looks more like a pistol ball did the damage.
ОтветитьInsured for $5000, but let's be honest here. That sword is essentially priceless. It's a true one of a kind.
ОтветитьI'm certainly not an expert appraiser but that estimate seems a bit on the low side
ОтветитьWhat a wonderful story that is awesome and the sweet lady wants to fix it. Glad she didn’t try.
ОтветитьWhat a cool piece of history. Hope she doesn't sell it. That being said I'd bet it would go for a couple hundred thousand at auction. Don't EVER clean or fix old guns, swords and other things like this.
Ответить'FIXED!!!!!"
Ответить"Fixed?!?!" (I think his is the original Pikachu surprise face!) LOL
Ответитьyou know this guy has wet dreams about the NRA and Trump
ОтветитьFINALLY!!! an actual combat damaged artifact!!! He actually got it all correct!! AND thats a cannister round that hit that sword..not a bullet...he was leading from the front..god bless him
ОтветитьMy Ancestors Served with this man in the 9th Indian Volunteers, My Ancestor was from Wayne's County
ОтветитьI'd pay 50 grand for this sword straight up.
ОтветитьFixed?!?!?!?!😅
ОтветитьI think the sword wil do 20 times more nowadays
Ответить
