I expected more from the 2 worlds leading musical geniuses. Hmmm
Ответитьthese two couldn't fail!! sounds magical
God it is just so good, and as a scientist who does field work (less than I like), I guess I got my song
Good heavens, Mister Sakamoto?!
Ответитьthanks for this upload! you have great taste and your original tracks are bangers 🎉

Guys, what happens when two Gods of Synth-Pop meet? THIS. I LOVE this song & this is my favorite version.
The r/OldElectronicMusic subreddit brought me here!
🔥 💣 💚
I did not know this version yet. Great. Thank you very, very much.
Absolutamente genial!!!.
Ответитьpretentious lyrics. great stereoscopy and melody.. gotta love the mac paint cover.
I chanced upon the 12-inch while in a department store in Kobe in the summer of 1985. Initially, I preferred Sakamoto's relatively dry mix (TYO). And the b-side (a snippet of which appears in the music video), is still brilliant.
Was this before ' flat earth'? Or Japan? Great track thanks! 👍 RIP Ryuichi Sakamoto ❤️🙏
I had no idea of such an unexpected mind-blowing duet. Thank you for sharing.
Amazing single! I bought it when it was released, then I was waiting for the forthcoming masterpiece album Illustrated Musical Encyclopedia. Then I discovered YMO.
I love the production of this. I ❤ Ryuichis avant garde music the best tho.... ✌️🙏💖. RI.P. Mr. Sakamoto
Discovering this with 15 on German Radio, recording on Cassette, never knew the Name of Singer (i only remember he was from Japan) and after 38 Years finally found it!
ОтветитьRIP
Ответитьl love this Music.
Timeless beauty here.
❤
Ryuichi Sakamoto & Thomas Dolby first time I have heard this WOW what a combination
Spent the early 80s on college radio, knew of Takahashi's solo work and with YMO, but never heard of this collaboration until 2023. Thank you for this 👍
Ответитьthat sound in the intro...I know I heard it before.. Does the Chemical Brothers sampled it?
Quantum Field Work. 🖕🍥🖕🍥🖕🍥🖕. 🔜. 💝💝💝💝💝💝🎼💝💝💝💝💝. 🔜. 🐇. 💝. 🎸. 🍌🍌
Sounds like, Pet Shop Boys...
My friend goes sailing with Thomas in Baltimore. He hangs with he and his wife.
Invokes feelings of nostalgia, even though I haven't heard it until now. Sounds like a vintage arcade game.
Absolutely love Thomas's work.
I knew of YMO & Mr Dolby for a long time and then Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence came out. That movie is a "must see" in that it shows not only how great a composer Mr Sakamoto is, but how well he can act as well! I haven't been diligent in keeping up with Mr Sakamoto's career but I still wonder if he made any more movie or albums.
Long Tokyo mix is great too.
I read your description you said it's not vinyl but it's great to see that 7in
