every time the announce some new Skin for Overwatch I always come back to this video because every single time people go (including myself) "oh boy, who's breast milk did they steal this time?" and it just makes me want to watch ActMan again

As a white american male i always default to choosing a Garifuna Female, the indigeous people of the Caribbean island of Saint Vincent. .... ive yet to to encounter a game with this option, but it definitely makes more sense than playing as a white guy.

I know this is old, but i would debate that people just want their chracyer to look cool. Whatever your idea of cool is, thats probably what you are spending your time doing in character customization. I dont make my character look like me, i try to make them look cool.

Also warzone wasn't popular cause it was free to play, just look at warzone 2. It's free but it's dying cause it's not fun. Warzone 1 was popular cause it was fun to play, at least up until fortunes keep took over. If warzone 1 wasnt free people would have bought it. Also making games free just let's hackers make another ACC like how warzone 1 was. If it was paid they would have had to buy a new copy of the game and make a new account. If all games are free to play the hackers will run free unless they create a impossible to break anti cheat

Your wrong on the ow2 thing, sure it makes sense for warzone but that started as a free to play game tho. Overwatch was a paid game and now it got replaced with a game people thought would be a sequel. Imagine buying mw2 and then when mw3 comes out it just takes over mw2 and you can't play it anymore. That would be dumb so why is it fine with overwatch?

I can support your position of people picking characters based in some way on their IRL selves. I am one of these people. I usually pick a race based on:
1) can I make the skin color a shade of brown (I'm an American African), or is there a viable shade of blue (my favorite color).
2) If I can't change the skin color (or have a limited selection of colors) is the fixed default color (or one the choices) a color that I can somehow rationalize in my mind as being in some way connected to my IRL race.

There are very few times when I pick a race that in no way resembles my IRL race, such as GW2 (Asura, Sylvari, Charr).
It doesn't matter what game I play I always pick a female, even if it means getting a class I normally wouldn't pick.

Examples:
In FFXIV, I'm a Moon Keeper Catgirl, because they are darker in color than the sun cats, and look like most of them could pass for a furry black person.
In Wow, I'm a bluish-greyish troll (my color choices when I created this character were limited at the time), which I found acceptable because reminds me of the color used for an ashy black person in cartoons.

When I was a teen I would always create a male character that resembled myself because of course I would, I want to be in the game! My character in Tony Hawk, me. My character in Soul Calibur, me. More recently whenever I play a game like Monster Hunter I usually create a girl character, I think because it's more fun to feel like a less physically intimidating hero that can kick just as much ass.

The point of OW 2 was that they heavily advertised it's PvE mode which they didn't deliver. Just because they made it free to excuse themselves doesn't mean it's right.

Asmon kept changing his argument and even used sub mode so only people that agree with him can talk 😂😂😂. His first argument was that people would often prefer to pick character traits that's close to them whenever they customize their character in game. He knew he was wrong so he because most would prefer other races if possible so he revised his argument to only human race 😂😂😂
Asmon forgot that there's literally tons of character setting mods in games. Most boys also prefer to make female characters for obvious reasons. Now he's resorting calling people that disagree with him "stoopid" 😂😂😂

They removed Overwatch 1 from people who bought it, the box system was much better than the battlepass. I payed for the first game now i have to pay again if i want the whole game. "Dunking on Blizzard" they are selfdunking themselves at the speed of light.

Most of these lawsuits would win in court.

I have attempted to create a character that looks like me in almost every game I've ever played that let's me create a character, and even when I didn't try to make them look like me they were still usually a white guy, and even whenever they weren't human they were still dudes, even in games like DnD where there are literally no limits to what my character can look like.

If the discussion was solely gender based, I'd agree. I prefer to play as male 90% of the time. It's the human part that I disagree with, why be a human when I can be an orc or a tauren (WoW) or an Au Ra or Roegadyn (FF14)?
