Disagree with the design the platform shouldnt ever be wider than the mattress makes it hard to get into and out of also platform beds are really really really stiff
Needs some flex or youll find yourself feeling tired and your body will ache

Wouldnt 3/4 boards be just fine though for the headboard to cut down on costs and weight? I am considering making that alteration for mine but wondering whats your thoughts on that

You should not use pocket screws that way

Would it be possible to use 1x8 for the headboard, instead of 2x8? Just thinking it would be cheaper and lighter 🤔
