My opinion completely changed after seeing 'Animal' today on netflix. It was bloody amazing. I did go for the hearsay and the view portrayed by some in the industry and I am soooo wrong! I wish i had seen it in the cinema. It is great acting by Ranbir and Anil Kapoor stood out too. Cinematography, fast paced screenplay kept me involved till much after the titles run and into 'Animal Park' the next one that shall also blow the audiences. Most of all, its absolutely well done execution by the director, Sandeep Vanga Reddy. You sir, if reading this must take a bow!

Animal was bloody brilliant. I was also spewing venom on the film and as a result I missed it on the big screen and had to watch in on OTT. Am damn pissed about this.
The "shoe" scene has been completely taken out of context by Javed Akhtar. In fact there are scenes where the protagonist is sitting at the feet of his sisters and later wife with love and respect among 100s of scenes where the protagonist is vulnerable/unsure/getting slapped by his elders and never grudges it.
So there is something very fishy about this negative propaganda. I more than suspect that there is something else that Javed chacha didn't like about this film and this "shoe licking" distraction is a decoy for that. 😂
As a woman, I'm totally chill with what you have done in Animal. It's a work of masterful subversion and this director is clearly a genius!
There is of course this unhinged left that comprises a set of semi-literate virtue signalling clowns, who having learnt some useful jargon like "toxic masquilinity" to be bandied about as a hallmark of their academic credibility.

And because he has given back, there is now a sense of acknowledgment and understanding in audience that these critics are merely of no use and are just playing with our minds. I believe you don’t have any opinion of yourself, would suggest you to try understanding things in whole and put some sense.

No you are illiterate. Vanga is least creative and more vulgar. On the most violent movie name what vanga served is a pathetic disease called Animal.
He will never be a versatile director, he will create hype only by including and creating such scenes which will create hype and his weakness as a director will be hidden behind such scenes.

Sandeep Reddy gets angry about the critics in bollywood because.. they are not actual movie critics...they are planted by certain people within the bollywood movie industry...who even rightfully Kangana calls them as Movie Mafia...
They are always trying to create perceptions and trying to influence outcomes...

I was seeing an interview between dibakar Banerjee and sandesh (probably the best interview i saw in recent times)....and then this.... what a difference.

While there is indeed some problematic content which was not too necessary to be included in the final cut, I think the best thing Vanga did was showing things realistically. Ranvijay talks and speaks the language the way many people speak in real life. Heck, even better was how he showed the impact of just one big fight on him. He lost the ability to listen, smell and taste. He got catheter in his body. His heart was failing. I don’t remember the last time an action hero suffered this much damage after just one big and prolonged battle.

When critics are not criticising Movies but they are criticising Audiance

Nobody has seen Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh .But most of the people have seen " ANIMAL " .

The main issue I have with the movie is not misogyny, as I prepared myself for that earlier. For me their was a lack of continuity in the movie. I was genuinely interested in the father-son bond which was highly promoted but least explored to the point that I couldn't find any critical problematic behaviour in the father's character for Rannvijay to behave this way. The violence was not that gruesome either, it was just people flying everywhere. For me it was a movie designed with multiple problemetic instances with a pinch of Godfather as a backdrop story. Only Bobby Deol's character seemed interesting which wasn't explored too. Music was the only plus point for me, rest it was just an average movie. Sandeep Reddy Wanga knows how to hype the movie with his type of audience. For me this guy is mentally sick, calling him a visionary would be a joke in itself.

Your analogy with sports is completely off. In sports, those who critique a team are actually sports men or women who have actually played the game but here it’s completely different. What do you know about the set design, sound design or any technicalities of the movie? If you are giving your opinion on the movie as a viewer then it shouldn’t be longer than 30 seconds.

A lot of us "wish" a lot of things, but as Vanga said, it would have become a 4 hour movie with the intermission. All I can say, as a female, is that I loved the movie, I loved the performances, I loved the music and I loved the flip off! And, maybe Vanga didn't use the right word when he called critics illiterate. I think 'morons' fit them well. How can you not watch a movie and comment on it? Like seriously, akal hai bhi ke nahi?

Think of Joaquin Phoenix from "the master",
Anthony Hopkins from Silence of the lambs or Cristian Bale from American Psycho or Keenu Reaves from John Wick or Al pacino from Godfather. These movies have way more complex, crazy and aggressive characters than what Ranbir Kapoor is in Animal. I am talking more in the context of absurdity and limits of acceptability.
When you can accept these with Oscars, then why criticize Animal Movie ?

Is it just me that even being a woman I understood Ranvijay's character? Yes the cheating part is not justified but Tripti Dimri's character could have been incorporated in a better way as it seems Ranvijay & her child will play an important role in the second part

Hi Jammy just wanted to ask if he is taking God father story line and scenes from scar face which angle do you think he he is a creative director from if he is coping someone else's work.

Some aspects of the movie don't make sense.
Like if Ranvijay had promised his wife he won't cheat , and then when Tripti danry came into the movie as a mole , there was no reason for him to sleep with her.
This was in my opinion the main reason why they split up .
Not the name calling not the vitriol this.
Also , in my opinion , vanga also clearly shows the female toxicity at play when Rashmika leaves for US , with their kids , thus alienating a son from his doting father.

Just because he is fearless doesn't mean he is not glorying his problematic messaging, when those deserve a matlab kuch bhi I think this deserves the same too
