ОтветитьMeant to say some of the green blue and red glass and face wear can be worth some money
ОтветитьVace wear/vases and or bowls
ОтветитьThe fisher price barn and fisher price pone and a bunch of Blanco glass
ОтветитьUgly Sells really well, I am surprised you didn’t buy the Ugly Doll that you kept picking up, although I don’t know what the price was!
Ответитьi make a living off of estate sale you just have to keep hitting them you will find a cheap one or one where they miss price stuff. Hit the garage and basements first you might find a deal there
ОтветитьI noticed my g'kids when they come to visit take out their phones and be pricing this granny's goodies around the house. Those little vultures now I know they are pricing my stuff!...lol
ОтветитьOk, who opened their mouth and told her about estate sales?
ОтветитьThe trick to estate sales, at least here in New England, is to be one of the first 10 people in there. That means getting to the sale an hour or two early on the first day, like if it starts at 9am, get there at 7am. Sometimes there's a number to take (like at a deli) or a list to put your name on. Then they let people in based on the order of the names on the list.
That first 20 minutes is crutial, that's when all the deals will be had :D It sounded like they were doing 25% off that day, that might mean you might have been there on the 2nd day, its super likely 80-90% of the deals are gone after hour two of day one.
Also, there are probably a dozen or so Estate Sale companies in your area, some will price VERY high, or full retail, other companies are more about just clearing out the house fast, once you get to know the companies in your area you'll know which ones to avoid, and which ones are worth the extra time getting there early.
Hope that helps! They can be a ton of fun, and can hide some serious treasures!
Shopping at garage sales can be profitable.
ОтветитьI don’t get estate sales. To me 75% of those things look like they belong in the trash. How could they be charging those prices?
ОтветитьI had that candle making kit in the 1970's.
ОтветитьGreat video! it’s great you’ve been exploring and
trying out new things!
Estate sale prices are always way too high where I live in Portland, OR, too. Annoying, haha
What a surprise look 😮! Had me laughing. The last day is usually the better option in most cases. I was liking the western plates. The Fischer Price barn set, Legos, Tupperware. Those dolls looked pretty neat. I had those Correlle dish sets probably 30 years ago.. Anyways, glad you venture out. Look forward to your next estate sale.
ОтветитьI sell vintage, but estate sales make me cry. No idea why—I just get sad! Thrift stores are more my vibe. Less tears, more treasures, and no ghosts judging my finds! 😂
ОтветитьYou might have tried to haggle on the plates. They might have taken a half price offer to sell all of them as a group.
ОтветитьYep.. those prices were too high!!!
ОтветитьVery high prices at that sale. There were some cool vintage things though…swung vases, the black vintage TV trays in the basement…some really cool vintage mugs in kitchen (otagiri?), vintage paper dolls…
ОтветитьWelcome to Estate sales
Ответитьgo to 75%-90% off day
ОтветитьWOW! You are STUNNING GORGEOUS! Respect, just had to say!
ОтветитьThe Estate companies killed the bargains. You have to find an owner ran one
ОтветитьA LOT of vintage/retro stuff! It's odd that you did this video just now because my uncle has just passed away. My aunt is still living, so not sure about his stuff being sold.
Ответить😮 wow suprised you have never been to an estate sale. Welcome to the club. There are sure groups of people that will go from estate sale to the next and if you continue to go you will get familiar with the estate sale companies that host them. You will find many cool things. Sometimes the last day they have 50% off or fill a bag. Depending. Hope you continue to go to them and make videos of your finds
ОтветитьGreat video, and great job!!!!
ОтветитьI love estate sales. I mainly focus on tools, camping and sporting items. Some antiques.
ОтветитьI heard them announce at least twice, everything 25% off. So some prices not too bad with 25% off
ОтветитьI've never been to an estate sale....I need to go lol
ОтветитьNot all Estate Sales are alike. A lot of the Company run sales are eBay or retail prices, but they still miss things, thinking that they're insignificant. And then there are some sales where you find awesome deals. Hang in there. Estate and Garage Sales are my favorite.
ОтветитьYellow crystal was pretty.
ОтветитьI loved this lindey! 🎉❤
Ответитьutah jazz
ОтветитьDepending on who is running the estate sale, there can be some good finds day one. I've had good luck finding electronics, cameras and vacuum cleaners in the past. I typically try to go on the discount days though.
ОтветитьI understand the need to try to gain funds when holding an estate sale, but some of those prices were as if they wanted to keep everything! From what I saw most was at or above market value. When I saw that $5 sticker on old plastic Tupperware....
When I see prices like that, I still look through everything, but my pace is quickened. No reason to waste much more time.
LOl my mom had that hair dryer
Ответитьthat estate sale is way over priced
ОтветитьI had that candle making kit aslso lol nostaligia
Ответитьthey will be donating all that stuff afte rthe last day so just check out the local thrifts tsores orrr check out trash day afte rthe last sale. They priced too high they should have charged a dollar pe ritem and saved themselves a ton of trouble pricing things or having to go a thrift to donate them or having to take out to teh trash
ОтветитьAlways go the last day it's 50-75% off usually. First day is to scope out or buy what you can't resist :)
ОтветитьWhat is that app you found the sale on?
ОтветитьThe oven was cool
ОтветитьFirst day of estate sales, everything is high priced. Then everyday it’s 25% cheaper. We only go the 75% off day and last day.
ОтветитьEstate sales, the ones priced to move items, are my FAVE to go to. You can find such great quality stuff. And yeah...creepy stuff too. lol Glad you went and brought us along!
ОтветитьAt the Estate Sales I have been to, on the last day of the sales, you pretty much can name your price and get hoards of free knick knacks of your choosing. They don't want anything remaining or they have to bring in someone to clear it out. Estate Sales Organizers make their money off of a percentage of items sold - with the hopes of emptying the dwelling.
Ответитьwhat an incredible vintage estate sale, of course that one baby doll looks like it came out of the exorcist. lol
ОтветитьIt all depends on the company. I've gone to some really bad estate sales (3x ebay prices) and some really good ones. I make a list of the good companies and try to hit their sales. I also love last day half price day.
ОтветитьFunny seeing all those old appliances - like the popcorn maker, and those old Hotdogger hot dog cookers.
ОтветитьEven Estate sales are affected by inflation . Pretty steep prices I think.
ОтветитьThis estate sale made me sad. A lot of the stuff was really old & the prices were high. I go to estate sales, but I usually ask if that’s their best price. I like to start a pile and I have a pretty good idea of how much they are asking & then I will offer a lump sum, which is obviously less than what they are asking. Most of the time they will take my offer, as long as it isn’t insulting.
