Is there anything that can be done to heal the salivary gland after radiation?. There are doctors that are not Innovative and will not do this procedure.

I just went through head and neck cancer treatment, I had squamos cell carcinoma. Unfortunatley I believe, my Doctor wasnt aware of this procedure. I was treated in SW Florida at a cancer center earlier last year, and my salivary glands have been severly damaged. I finished radiation in May (2022) and was told they would start working again after 6 months, well it has been 7 months now without saliva, as the Dr. stated in the video you do not realize how important the salivary glands are. I am still having problems swallowing and have to carry a bottle water with me constantly as my mouth dries up and then I am unable to speak. Night time is bad, as I keep waking to rinse my mouth to keep everything moist. Not sure now what my options are or what the next step is, as I have an appointment with mu onclocgist in two weeks time.
