Did a Demo Day at the local Triumph & rode the T120, Speed Twin, Tiger Low, Bobber & Speedmaster. All awesome in their own way, but the Speedmaster stole my heart. Bought it the next week. 🏍️💨

HHHMMMMM....I think I may need one T120 for the Classic Retro Look and one Speedtwin 1200 because it has the same engine with a good tweak and weighs 50 pounds less than the T120. Thos are my two Triumph choices.

I'm looking at T120's and SpeedTwins. Annoyingly, Triumph has so many "limited editions" that they arent limited at all, and are just a price gouge. Not gonna do it.
There isnt much choice right now... maybe spring time. sigh.

I bought a 2023 Triumph Bonneville T 120 black edition 3 weeks ago. Very glad that I did. I used to be a diehard Harley owner for 38 years. Best bike that I have ever owned. 😊

As a new rider, would a t120 be too much power? I plan to ride mainly in the streets. Should i go t100. I am 6feet tall btw

At 62 years old and not owning or riding a motorcycle since about 1989, my 2022 Bonneville T120 is powerful enough, eye-catching enough, and totally customizable. The only issue I have is the unexpected rather significant cost of proper maintenance.
However, times & prices have changed since the late 'eighties and as someone in Texas once explained to me:
"Ain't nothing cheap no more!!"

I only mean to offer constructive critique compared to your other enjoyable and useful videos, but this one was a little disappointing for a comparison.
I'd hoped for a ride vs ride video to compare, rather than what comes over as a blow by blow spec sheet comparison. The latter says nothing about the rides - often what may be more subjective aspects but those often pick up things that we don't note in our own test rides. The four road styled models appear very similar but are, in my experience, very different animals on the road. The spec comparison such as this one can be done in many 'compare button' places, probably on the Triumph website or catalogues.
What comes over is that the Street/Speed 900 to T100, and Speed 1200 to T120 - for each bike in these pairs the impression that there is little difference other than stylistic design. But for the two 900s, despite similar power figures, there is much more and they do ride very differently, as do the 1200s against each other.
Yet the power figures on the 900s needs clarity. Given that many prospective owners will not necessarily be buying new (and you do mention the name change to look for Street Twin for early models of the now Speed 900, so I presume you are not just referring to 2023 models), those specs should probably be more complete when quoting things like power. Whilst the two 900 units may each be identical in component form, both the Initial Street and T100 were not the same spec engine as they now, with some 10hp less on introduction. Both are now as quoted, but also important is that the two models changed at different points. Surely as significant as the difference in the 1200 HT and HP units which you do note without reference to those labels.
In respect of specs, that is the significant detail for any 'Which to get' buyer. But the ride on these twins is perhaps more important than those figures!

You are looking at modern brand new Triumphs, I bought a used 2009 Thruxton as my first bike, being a larger-stature person. Love the bike, works for me and I cannot fault it. Don't overlook a used Bonnie, especially if you can handle the torque and don't overlook the older carb versions if you are a big person looking for something besides an HD Sportster, you may be pleased.

I have a Scrambler 1200 XC and I love this bike but I want a second bike something smaller. I don't know if I should get the t100 / t120 or the scrambler 900. If i want Customizing both bikes looks badass.

I ride a 2017 T120 Black. It is thebideal "all rounder" motorcycle. It handles like a dream. Well, since upgrading the flabby suspension which Triumph must have spent £1.99 on producing. With Hagon rear shocks and prog fork springs this bike is now what it should have been in the first place. You do not feel its weight as it is carried low down in the centre of gravity.

Over the last 40 years I have been through at least a dozen different street bikes and several dirt bikes. I loved all of them. But lately I have been wanting to add a Bonneville T120 to my list of rides. There's something about that classic motorcycle look that I can't resist.

I owned a CBR-600F and later a YZF-R6. Then spent 14 years in the wilderness, sans bike. Came back to it when I bought a lightly used Triumph Thruxton R. Excellent machine. I’ve had a blast with it. The handling has more capability than I have courage, which is to be preferred and there’s more than enough power on tap. The styling of the bike attracts the attention of older gentlemen and also children. Lol. All part of its charm, I suppose.

It is obvious that these videos are purely comedic (although weirdly not funny) how does a motorcycle to commemorate a royal wedding, by an iconic British manufacturer, compare to a Harley Davidson edition Ford F Truck 😂😂

You really should read beyond Harley Davidson propaganda. Bloor was a property developer who intended to buy the Triumph factory to redevelop it. He was then surprised to see people still working. They were a few of the engineering department still building experiental bikes. Bloor was then captivated by the possibility of building bikes, so he bought the company, with the name. FACTS MATTER

Thanks for the history lesson and current information. I bought a new T100 last year when I came across one on sale for $9000. I was instantly cure of being a lifelong Honda fan boy and within two months bought a 2011 Thruxton 900. The Thruxton will absolutely walk off and leave the T100. I blame EU emissions standards.

(But I still love my Hondas)
