Hi! Do you need a permit or anything to camp out there? I am planning a two day trip in the superstitions!!
ОтветитьThis is how you get murdered.
ОтветитьI was there this week. Nice place great video.
ОтветитьWhat kind of boots did you guys wear for the long hiking in AZ?
ОтветитьDone that exact same hike several times. Been hiking and backpacking in the “Sups “ since the 70s! Your video actually does justice to the area! Next time you come out let us know, I’ll take you to a favorite spot and camp in 900 year old Indian ruins!
ОтветитьWhen is the best time to hike the soups?
ОтветитьAs an east valley native, the sups have been a refuge for me. I’m glad you got to enjoy it too! You went at the best time of year haha
ОтветитьHey y'all! Fiance and I are finally taking the leap into backpacking largely inspired by you!
Question is, in y'alls experience, what coffee system/setup has been the best for hike-in sites?
Seen the coffee packs in this vid (I assume the paper filter comes with them?) And also the aeropress from caprocks canyons. Any insight is appreciated! Thank you!
Why different dogs?
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing! You both do a great job capturing everything! I really enjoy watching both of you adventure. :)
ОтветитьAt Fremont Saddle facing Weavers Needle, there is a lone pine tree to the right. A mostly flat trail runs from Fremont Saddle to that tree. I camped under that tree last year. Awesome view of Weavers Needle, and you are on flat sandy ground, next to a rock wall that somewhat blocks the wind.
ОтветитьI always carry ear plugs when camping, in the desert night time often brings wind. If there's any trouble Kona should alert you.
ОтветитьWow, thanks. My son is taking me on a backpacking trip there in a couple weeks. Nice preview!!❤
ОтветитьWe backpacked this same loop but in the opposite direction you ran it it… that Terrapin trail looks like a nice shortcut on paper, but that was one of the hardest rock scrambles I’ve ever done with a 30 pound pack. Great content, you guys make this trek look easy, it’s definitely a bit of work to camp back there.
ОтветитьWatch out for Cholla cactus "balls." They drop those, I call them nature's hand grenades
ОтветитьNot tired of the dance moves! Love it haha
ОтветитьI love that you showed the reality and struggles that come with backpacking. Great video!
ОтветитьAnother great episode. Thanks.
ОтветитьNext time you hike the Superstition’s there’s a BBQ in Mesa not too far from the superstition’s called Tom’s BBQ… excellent brisket’s!
ОтветитьVery nice from ky.
ОтветитьBeautiful. Thank you for sharing.
ОтветитьIf you hit Arizona on the way back from Alaska you should check out the flagstaff area!
ОтветитьBacktracking through some of your videos that I missed. Fantastic country but, from my own experience around Tucson, really rough.
ОтветитьThere are year-round springs but you need to know their locations. And mid-May to mid-September is brutally hot!
ОтветитьWeavers Needle is nice but the best hike is via Siphon Draw to Flatiron. It is on the west side of the Superstitions; you were on the East side. Better photo ops, too on that side.
ОтветитьGetting off of the trail is quite common in the superstition wilderness. The solution is simple. You just turn around and follow the way you came until you are back on the trail. Then you find out where the real trail goes. You usually won't go too far off trail because the supposed trail quickly starts to look quite weird and seriously overgrown.
ОтветитьRidiculously beautiful.
ОтветитьI used to live in Mesa I used to love seeing the view of the Superstitions to the east.
ОтветитьThank you for taking us along on your backpacking trip. It is good to know that it is not all easy and good to see some struggle, but you are correct that you will remember that view and your memories will turn this into a "GREAT" trip because of the challenges. Again, thank you for sharing! By the way, I LOVED the picture of Kona taking a nap...
ОтветитьThose are some dang good dance moves! Those grits looked amazing! 👌
ОтветитьMy wife and I just hiked the Peralta trail. We found it because of your channel. Just so happens that my sisters neighborhood is at the start of the road going to the trail head and we were going to see her. Good timing! Thanks for your videos!
ОтветитьWonderful video, thank you for sharing. It is hard to hike in the desert with a lot of weight, you managed that very well. I have been hiking/backpacking for 4 decades and I would recommend that you use a topo map, the phone will not always work well for navigation. The map has another advantage, it is a lot larger than the screen of the phone, much more fun to use.
ОтветитьAmazing! Great adventure.
Ответить🍻🇫🇮
ОтветитьLove the Peralta hike to the Fremont saddle and weavers needle. So beautiful. Definitely worth the drive out to Superstition mountains from Phoenix
ОтветитьThe Office quote at the end! 😂
ОтветитьIs that tree a cell tower?
ОтветитьMy fiance and I saw you guys camped out on Fremont Saddle! I had no idea it was you guys until watching this! I always love watching your videos..wish I'd of known and stopped to say hi!
ОтветитьHi guys, it's my first time watching your videos and I already subscribed, they are great!!! 🥰🤗 I'm from Arizona and I've been there like three times, it's a beautiful place to visit, there is a ghost town by the mountains 😬😯😆 🤣 Take care and thanks for sharing 🙏🏼
ОтветитьLiving in AZ this is one of our favorites. The views are amazing. Thanks for sharing. Great video. Do you produce your own videos or do you have someone do them for you?
ОтветитьDon't you know there are bears in the desert too?
ОтветитьThanks for this video. I have lived in Phoenix for 35 years and have never done this hike. I don’t think I could do the whole hike like you both did but maybe some of the other trails. I appreciate all your tips for this hike.
ОтветитьSuch Beautiful Views... We did the Dutchmans trail hike once it was nice at 6am before the heat. Now I want to do the other one. And Omg you guys were just down the road from us. Wow. Wish we could have ran into yous.
ОтветитьThanks for always keeping it real:) Not all is glamorous or easy at times but you guys take us all along with you and make us feel like we’re part of the adventure. Another great video and adventure!
ОтветитьWow amezing view bagong kaibigin po
ОтветитьActually, there are black bears in the Superstitions and mountain lions.
ОтветитьThat Century plant at the camp site was nice!
ОтветитьYou two in your amazing hikes! Thanks for sharing!
