Interesting take. I am moving to Seattle after more than a decade of NYC hustle 😂 Hope I don’t have regrets or weird feelings like you did after a day back from NYC. Honestly though, if not for the ever increasing cost of rental prices here, I would have never moved. Especially for real estate agent, there can’t possibly be a better place than NYC or London.

Considering you’re still very young, I say go for it! The personal and professional growth you’ll get from living in NY even for a year is unmatched… I’m from Washington and lived in seattle for 11 years, moved to NY when I was 29 and wished I moved sooner / younger. I think it’s hard to stay in NY long term for many reasons but the experience for any amount of time is something you’ll never regret. I remember leaving NY and being back in seattle and immediately missing NY too…. Try it!!

NYC with 80k agents to only 10k listings in one of the highest taxed states in a rising interest rate environment in a city with rising crime rates and rich people leaving.
I'd ask Ryan to work in the Miami branch if I were you.

I've said it many times. You don't have to live in New York City to make it here. You can live in Jersey City and get more bang for your buck. You can easily get into New York City by taking a half hour train ride a 9-minute ferry or half hour bus ride. If you do decide to move to Jersey City so you can work in New York City, like so many people do, I can be your realtor here (shameless plug for my business lol)
