had my legend for 3 months and it has sniffed out $300.00 in clad a little silver but i designed my own hunt in park mode ,everytime i go out i come hohands full of money i love this machine, rings are yet to come so far gridding soccer fields reallllly!!!! pay off goodluck to everyone who owns this machine ty

Why doesn't Nokta (and all the other major brands) use Gorilla Glass 🦍, which is the same as on your cellphone, and its super tough, doesn't scratch doesn't break..

So really no different than other machines, the turn on and go mode notches out the lower ferrous area.

How much for the legend?

Think about something? If a Merc dime was started minting in 1916 it has to be lost after 1916. Square nails date back to the 1700's here so unless a house were burned or torn down how many square nails should be over a Merc dime? Especially that far over it? I have dug deep coins with nails around in the hole in an area the ground had been bulldozed from taking old buildings down but this usually isn't the case. Well yeah in farm fields things get turned over but how many nails are in farm fields unless you find an old building site but then again the next tilling can put the coin back over the nail so that's why you always return to hunt the farm fields

Is the fcc controling the power well back 30 40 yrs was fcc limiting power out put why do they do it or did not care before glad I kept my whites idx pro 11 volts 12 dc you would think that may make a difference when going deep

NOBODY moves a coil that fast over a target as you do in an air test. Doesn't look or sound that good if you go slower?

Simplex finds the same thing. Legend not a big deal kinda pricey. Simplex best machine out of 5 detectors that I own. Just saying not bad mouthing The legend. Lol

Great video! Not a fan of the all black buttons. Coloring in is something that may disqualify this detector from my purchase plans.

I still think the simplex has a better and faster recovery.nokta made the legend to try and compete against other detectors.has anyone noticed how those that have the equinox are selling there's for the simplex and legend.idk but I'll stick with what works best.

Related but possibly not, I have a F44 and would like to get a Simplex+, if I do , would it come with the latest version software ? I’m looking at the base unit priced around $255. ( machine only ) This is why I’m asking.

I`m hearing very good things about the just released update on these. I can`t afford this but would one day like to find a discounted Simplex. I have a Vanquish 340 I got for 170 on a damaged box deal. I`m really excited and can`t wait to spend some time testing it in the nearby woods, fields, old gardens, and along the creek after I move in the coming weeks. I believe using headphones the Simplex or the Legend can mop up on deep silver coins in old yards and school grounds.

Liquid screen protectors for cell phones is what I use on all my detectors now and it works great!

Just bought the Legend and waiting for shipment. I used to use the Nox 600. Despite the small performance difference, I wanted to go with the Legend simply because they didn't do us dirty like Minelab did with the Nox 600 basically being an 800 with locked features. The Legend has all frequencies from 4 to 40 unlocked. User profiles unlocked. 10 recovery speeds available. The Nox 600 only allowed 3 of 6 recovery speeds to be used, doesn't allow user profiles, etc.

I almost bought this detector. Seams like some problems with the legend. Already 2 updates then they pull the latest update. I’ll wait or maybe move on.

the thing everybody is overlooking and is so important is this machine as great as it is, does not leak. take it in the water no problem. Here in Virginia, we call the 800 sponge bob.

Thanks for your reply John the popping at the end of the signal I mention that you had in gold mode I discovered is caused by the Threshold, it defaults to 0 in park field and beach and 12 in Goldfield which is why you only hear it in the gold setting. I like to turn up threshold to search for smaller targets which gives me the irritating popping at the end of the signal when used in field park or beach. I use an AT Max where I turn threshold up and back it down 1 to quieten, then it gives a clean signal 👍 let’s hope they can sort the legend out with an update because this has the makings of a great machine. 👍

Hi John whats causing the tapping noise at the end of the signal when you did the gold test I've just purchased the legend and I'm well pleased with it but that noise at the end of the signal is really annoying me especially when I use the headphones. Great video by the way 👍

The best coin hunting mode on the legend is 4 khz by far if you hunt in very trashy Parks like I do. Because this frequency doesn't like low-to-mid conductors it easily picks out coins in the trash where all the other frequencies will struggle. On the downside you won't be picking up many gold rings unless they're laying right on the surface. It's my favorite mode in this detector right now...
