Alan - in the tutorial you advised saving files as TIFF but when you were in StarStaxx the files in the stack were jpeg ? The then saved the jpeg stack as a stacked Tiff?
ОтветитьYou must love the sky replacement capabilities now!
ОтветитьAlyn, where did you gett the small battery pack that you have connected the lens warmer to......?
ОтветитьExcellent!
ОтветитьJust found this tutorial.. brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge. When I tried this my entire image seemed to have a grid overlay. Kind of like if is was emulating being on Canvas. Do you know what that is? anyway, thanks again!
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьBrilliant.. Rather than set to 999, how could I deteremine how many images I really need?
ОтветитьThank for a great tutorial!.
ОтветитьHow can you avoid hot pixels?
ОтветитьCan I use 18-140 Lens for Milky way and Star trails photography?

ОтветитьSuper helpful tut! Thanks for the StarStax plug!
ОтветитьJust awesome! Very easy to understand!
ОтветитьWow! Thank you for an actually useful tutorial!
ОтветитьI did not understand bad quality video… pay attention to pure storage channel for a model to imitate
ОтветитьI am planning a trip and want to photograph the night sky. Your video will help a lot when I'm standing in the cold north. Thanks for being so generous with your expertise.
ОтветитьVery cool! I’m curious as to how we see the same stars all year round, like how does Polaris and every other star stay in the same spot while we revolve around the sun?
ОтветитьCan you please suggest app for synching all the photos taken like you did in pc please!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьExceptional video! Good teaching with rich, on-point content ready to use. Quick question, please - there is conflicting information "out there" about the relationship of interval to exposure using both internal and external intervelometers. Is this a correct statement: "To ensure correct operation, choose an interval at least one second longer than the exposure time. "
Another video says to add an interval "between" exposures, thus he said "set a 30 second exposure with a 2 second interval." Please advise. Thanks!~
Your voice
ОтветитьThat's so good many many thanks for sharing brilliant 👌👌👌
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьVery useful .. Thank you Alyn .
ОтветитьThank you so much for the tutorial! Thank you for giving me clarity now lets see if i can do this star trail now its a dream shot of mine
ОтветитьThe Bifrost Bridge..
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьHow many frames did you capture for this one?
ОтветитьHe doesn’t mention it early on but make sure you take at least two photos of your background or target first. One with it underexposed so that the lighting looks exactly how you want it, and another a bit more exposed to see the details in the target. Then you can mask them over each other and add all the star trail frames
ОтветитьDziękujemy.
ОтветитьHow long in total should the exposure be?
ОтветитьCool video, it proves that the stars are the ones that move and the earth is stationary.
ОтветитьKindly suggest me a usb power bank for my sony 6600
ОтветитьHi Alyn. I just caught this excellent video and I'm going to have my first go at star trails following your settings. How many pictures did you take before you stacked them?
ОтветитьGreat tutorial but please don't edit out the space between sentences, it's an irritating american habit that makes the videos hard to watch
ОтветитьThank you so much for the tutorial!
Any idea how to remove airplanes and satellites through StarStax?
Bulb mode and then put lens on f2.8 or 3.5 depending on how dark the area is, also low IOS of around 200 to 400 depending on how light or dark it is, and then focus out to infinity and set camera for about half hour does the job of taking star trails for me… Also I’m from Wales living in the rhondda area so not a bad spot here for night photography.
ОтветитьI am new to star trails photography and this looks like an excellent introduction. Thank you very much.
ОтветитьThank you very much.
ОтветитьDid you shoot this in JPEG? I can’t use the digital zoom in RAW. Thanks!
ОтветитьThank you!
