Woman Told to Cover Up for Wearing a Crop Top on Flight | This Morning

Holly and Phil are being ridiculous in their comments that this girl should be able to wear whatever she wants in public. This is really a more specific argument: The entire point of this dilemma is that airlines have modesty/appropriate behavior policies and the flight crew deemed that she violated them. She was asked twice to put on a jacket, but she chose to be stubborn and inconvenience everyone on the plane to try and make a point. So self-centered 😮

I know modesty has all but disappeared in todays world but that is not a crop top in any stretch of the imagination. That is a glorified bra or bikini top.

I think the problem is that on flights you have to sit very close to other people. Not everyone would be comfortable sitting up close to someone so scantily clad.

These moaning passengers on the flight are likely going to be on a beach within a few hours and see dozens of women there "in a bra" (bikini) and not think anything of it. People should mind their own damn business and stop trying so hard to be offended the whole time. It's usually insecurity or sociopathc people who are wanting to tell everybody else on how they should be.
You've got to be a pretty sad person to feel the need to control everybody else around you.

Far too many people confuse public transport with their own private vehicle. If you're paying for a ticket you're not entitled to behave in a way that disregards the collective. Sitting in close proximity to someone else's bare skin is not desirable to most passengers.

If you wear items like that in public you have to be prepared for the stares.

I'm pretty liiberal, but seriously? wear a tank over it.....with my body, if i wore a similar outfit, you yourself would not want to see the view! they make rules for the GENERAL public and can't be choosing who is exempt, they hve tons of other things to do...therefore....cover up and take off the top when you get off!

I was recently in an online group where a shirtless guy asked if that was offensive to anyone, and I did feel kind of uncomfortable but didn't want to say anything because to say it was "offensive" was a stronger word than I feel and no one else said anything. And because it's controversial to say so. I resented being put in that position. He just should have known better. And so should these dumb selfish inconsiderate ladies

I think she teached a lesson to the flight crew. You should always be kind to the passengers, especially when you are asking something about the clothing. I also would not like to sit next to her because of her outfit. That would make me uncomfortable.

Another one who thinks the world orbits her ego. It’s not about whether she’s dressed offensively - why is offensive the bar that needs to be met? Inappropriate for sure, being half dressed on a flight is as inappropriate as this outfit would be in a working office.

So she was dressed like that on a hot day, sweating into the seat that somebody had been sweating before her and somebody after her will sit on. That’s just disgusting. Same as those midriff free young people sitting in Theatre seats, that are normally made with some textiles, just plain disgusting, and they wonder why they get rashes and all kinds of other afflictions to the skin. Cover up for your own health and the health of others.

As a woman of a similar age, I can see it’s a bralette and I think that it is a bit inappropriate for this environment. If she were in Tenerife walking round the beach or the towns or going for lunch, yeah sure! That would be absolutely fine however for the airplane, I think she should have covered up. It is very unnecessarily revealing for the airplane. There’s no need. She looks gorgeous don’t get me wrong but there is a time and place for that kind of attire. If I were in her position, in that bralette, and the flight attendants asked me to cover up because it was too revealing or inappropriate, id understand completely and cover up. If I can look down and see my bare shoulders, the whole of my cleavage and all of my stomach, I can see how that’s revealing because that is basically the definition of the word x
