I've lost two over a 100 days harecore worlds and I'm back to regular difficulty. It's not worth it anymore. Plus the second hardcore world I died coming back from the nether and in one second I get blown up by a creeper since I had my elytra on instead of my chest plate.

50% of worlds was gone by creeper

main cause of death:
- Nether
- Forgot elytra
- Fall damage
- Creeper aww men

Seriously, take the two seconds to check and make sure you're wearing an elytra if you're about to jump, or your chestplate in dangerous combat situations
