do we need to install sonar and sonar runner for sonarlint or it will work without it.??

Hi,m using eclipseLuna Service Release 2 (4.4.2). Installed SoanrLint-and its showing in AlreadyInstalled section. But am not able to have configure with SonarLint option :(

I have project in my local machine but sonar server is on remote location. Is there any way to analysis my local project with remote sonar server. I am using sonarqube 3.5 plugin in my eclipse luna.
