This happened to me too.

This happened to me first thing this morning as soon as I tried to log into the internet, I’m the last person for techie anything. So after one failed attempt of powering down and restarting for the same result, I just opened a second tab and had no issues or security pop ups and closed out the first initial tab that had it and wouldn’t let me do anything and everything was fine after that.(Easy Peasy…..hope this helps the next)👍

The only thing that worked for me was to ctrl-alt-delete which got me to the task manager. Then I closed the browser window that I was in just before it happened and then cleaned that cache by 1st using 'Everything' to search for 'cookies' and deleted all of them that had the date and time of when the mishap occurred, after which I used ccleaner to clear all other cookies and cache. All seems to be ok now.

That Actually happened to me once because I thought it was real and I did get scammed I lost 500 dollars for telling me a absolute lie all I was doing was just trying to watch anime and this thing pops out of nowhere and I get scared and thinking my computer and every other device that I've owned is getting hacked. So I called a fake Microsoft assistant to help me clear up the hacker that was trying to hack everything I ever owned but it was all just a HUGE BIG LIE he even told me that he would contact my bank and he told me to pick the phone when my bank called and it turns out I was also talking to a fake bank assistant and he needed 500 dollars from me for some reason and he said he would transfer it back to me after My computer was all good but he never did. it actually turned out it was all fake I told myself I'm am such an Idiot thinking it was fake all along and was very disappointed in my self for doing a fake help from a guy saying he's from Microsoft and a person telling me he works at the bank all was trying to do was just watch anime.

This happened to me today and I clicked off the tab i was on and it went away thank goodness.

My dad says to hit Ctrl Alt Delete and open the task manager to remove all google tabs, clear the site this happened on from your search history, and never come back to it again.

It’s crazy bc when I did call the number they said did you recently log into any school systems or banking systems. Which I did (I was trying to apply for fasfa and looked for schools etc) not even bank related! Be careful yall

This happened to me a few minutes ago It stayed on my computer even after I turned it off and on I called the number but still thought it might be a scam I didn' t know what else to do the woman told me to push on and delete button at same time then she said they needed to hook into my computer I didn't liek that idea and made excuses then I got disconnected or she hung up Something popped up on my phone at the bottom when it got disconnected

First off, fake, it is illegal for any software company to lock your computer without your consent.

Ctr —-> Alt —-> Delete . Then go to Task manager and delete the Microsoft edge browsers and then shut it down

By the way, I know it’s fake because it doesn’t have that stuff when it’s real

I got a new one. The blue screen is the same but the ctrl+shift+ESC didn't work for me.
I would remove the battery if all else fails.

If you call the number, a Benchod sounding person with generic American names like Richard Johnson will be waiting on the other end of the line tricking you to have remote access of your computer, log in to your bank account and steal your money. These are Chutiya scammers from Kolkata, Just shut down the computer.

I just got this they called me and They told me to press esc and then go and download something I just hunged up

I got this ad and i couldnt alt f4 or do anything else, i just restarted my computer from the power button, nothing should be wrong with my pc right?

This happened to like 20 minutes ago! Almost the exact one! I was really scared and I was home alone so I was begging my mom to go home but luckily I was on a call with my friend that is one grade ahead of me and she got her dad on the phone for help and he said to just click on esc and I didn't think it would work but it did!

Press Windows Key+ L log back into your PC and close that shit out.

This virus is a dumb a**! I could literally just open task manager and end task!
