Short answer: yes. Saved you time
ОтветитьI thought a lot of the same things a couple years ago (info overload, will never use all of those features, too many drills and options that I will never use). I live in Prescott AZ and have shot non-competitively since the 1970's. I am (was) more of an extreme long range (1,500 - 3,500 yards) rifle shooter, but I started using MantisX and last year added BlackbeardX.
Because of where I live, I shoot with a lot of current and ex mil, as well as many pro's. They used to shoot circles around me, which was great, because I was always helped by their input, support and proficiency levels. In less than 2 years, and about 1,500 hours of dryfire with these systems, and hold my own with almost all of them.. and then some. Speed, consistency, accuracy, control, and maybe most importantly, because of the range of skills and related drills in the MantisX/Blackbeard X products, I have majorly expanded my areas of shooting-- and enjoy the sport much, much more!
Even dryfire itself is now a lot of fun, and we do fun skills drills with the options provided. I have used Laser Academy, Dry Fire, and many other systems (e.g. CoolFire, etc). They are great. But for evolving your skills, the extra $100 that these systems cost compared to LA pays for itself 1,000 times over.
Make and effort for 3 months to move through their options and I hope you have even half the fun and results I have seen. Ignore "extra" data and related things until you start to benefit from them. I bet you that you will find significant benefit to virtually all of them. Have fun and have a very Happy New Year!
I am looking at purchasing this for a gift. Do I purchase the Laser Academy standard kit and the X10 kit?
ОтветитьWait so if you have multiple targets up they all have be at the same distance you can't put multiple up at random distances?
ОтветитьIf you couple this with a Dry Fire Mag, it eliminates the need to continuously rerack for each shot. It absolutely completes the system. I really think Mantis should make there own and make it available in the kit.
ОтветитьWill this wear down your fire and pen? And recoil is missing that’s a game changer.
ОтветитьMy Taurus G3c is perfect for this as you dont need to rack the slide everytime.
ОтветитьI find it to be boring as hell. You always just hit where you want. I do use the Mantis X system and line that, but mostly I use the laser bullet to shoot at the center of the fan, the dogs (kidding……), light switches and so on. It is a bit expensive for what you get IMO.
ОтветитьAdd a Dryfire Mag and you don't need to rack the slide.
ОтветитьGet a T trigger magazine so you can shoot more than once
ОтветитьDo you have to cycle with a double action hammer fired pistol?
Ответитьhow long does laser last Reviews say issues with laser lasting?
ОтветитьDouble action …
ОтветитьHow much does the app cost?
ОтветитьWould this work with a dry fire mag, to eliminate the constant resetting of the firearm?
ОтветитьNot sure if it would be worth the investment but the dryfiremag company makes a visible laser system that allows you to fire, without having to rack the slide. Any idea if mantis training is compatable with any laser sight system ? Or are they exclusively mantis product's ?
Ответитьcycling the action after each shot is a pretty big dealbreaker for me imo
ОтветитьHave you ever experienced a Squib load misfire from this product?
ОтветитьThe price of two boxes of ammo? Lol thats less than 40 😂
Ответитьi thought mantis didn’t do paid subscriptions 😐
ОтветитьI’m assuming you have the Elite version.
Does it come with the laser cartridge or do you have to buy that separate?
I doubt this is really a realistic training tool. Caliber, cartridge load, make of hangun (brand), recoil, stress, interesting but useless. Live fite drills are best
Ответить😊
ОтветитьI bought the rhino laser bullet and downloaded the mantisx app. I cannot connect. Do I need more than just the laser bullet to use the app?
ОтветитьNecessity of reSlide is only for striker guns, no?
ОтветитьThis is why I bought airsoft. Same model Glock in green gas. Trigger feels the same. Slide recoils with each shot. You don't want to drop the mag as they will break over hard dirt or concrete and accurate to 15 yards. My local indoor range closed with covid so I practice at home. Range re-opened and I went back to shoot live. Hits at center at 25 yards. It ain't perfect but I bought 20 bucks of pellets 3 years ago and the inside fire ones I have recovered constantly. They dont break down as fast as I'd like so don't shoot them around chickens. my dogs leave them alone. Buy a bottle adapter for coleman propane bottles. One has lasted me a year.
Not saying the mantis isnt a valuable training aid but I'm not drlling cycling the slide between every shot. Just an extra training aid.
Glock licensed Aiursoft G17. Even fits my carry holster perfect.
this thing seems amazing! will be getting one soon! thanks for this
