Please could you make a video showing how you solved the AF2 problem. I ran a 20 mile race in them at the weekend and loved the feel but have a long blister on my foot from the arch. Very sad as the AF1s are my favourite shoe ever and these felt like they had so much more potential. For now I have slipped in an insole from an old pair of tempos on top of the original insole to see if this will help but cannot try them until my foot has properly recovered from Sundays race.

Great video . I’m pretty much set on running the Berlin marathon in my prime x strung . It’s just miles ahead of all my other super shoes for my mechanics. The Alphafly 2 is somehow not working for me .. 1 was better. Oh wait … maybe the prime x2 will be released in time ;) cheers and good luck

Prime X all the way… Adidas never worked for me until the I tried the Strung. I am a believer now. A bit sloppy at low speeds but that is not what this shoe is about. Great video! Thanks!

Good shout for the re-release of 3 Feet High and Rising Edd, and sad to see the passing of Plug 2 a few weeks ago.
I still say De La Soul Is Dead wipes the floor with it, but can't deny that no other album sounded like 3 Feet when it came out. I read there is some kind of 3 Feet anniversary issue coming out and presume that's it? Maybe lots of extras on it too?

Edd any chance to just put an insole on top of the other insole? Ripping it out seems a bit intimidating on a super shoe…. Maybe they would slip too much or be two cramped with two in there? Tell us more pls

Always voting for the Prime X Strung. Had 50 miles in them and was holding off using them more to keep them fresh for my goal marathon in 3 weeks. Decided (last minute) to sign up for a local marathon last Saturday just to see where I was at. Felt great the entire time (except for the section on a highway because it was at a significant angle so my ankles were feeling it), legs feel fresh and even ran fairly well this morning. Now I have to decide between the Prime X Strung or the Endorphin Elite for my goal race

Longevity is certainly one of the strong points regarding the Prime X. I'm on my 4th pair and they're consistently lasting up to around 500 miles and still looking pretty darn good (Linen Green: 275 miles; Solar Red: 445 miles; Pulse Lime: 495 miles). I haven't used the Prime X Strung yet as winter weather finally arrived here in the northeast USA so waiting until the roads are less sloppy. I recently picked up a pair of Alphafly NEXT% 2 and returned them as they didn't have the rocker effect I'm used to with the Prime X (it is a great shoe though). I used the Prime X for the 2022 Boston, Chicago and NYC marathons and will continue to use it as a race shoe. It's the only shoe I'm wearing at the moment because it just so darn good! Trainer:

Love the video. Did end up with the Elite from Saucony I personally have fallen in love. Got excited for it, watched reviews and lost excitement, but quickly it returned after my first run in them. I think people just want to like the Nike offerings more. Told you I would report. Have a great race my friend.

I’d go with the one that makes running feel awesome and have no niggling doubt in back of mind of performing issues when trying to achieve a goal one less thing to think about

Just ordered prime x strung today! I've got a new pair of Mizuno wave rebellion pro in the cupboard as well as new pair of Adiós Pro3 (2nd pair of those). I've got Budapest marathon in October and I can't see the Pro3s making the final 2 selection for race day when it comes around! I'll get about 80 miles in each before the event and decide. I do like max cush though, my 57 year old bones do as well, so I reckon prime x will be favourite for race day!

What shoe size are u? Mizuno Rebellion Pro!! I think you'll like it. Up to size 12.

Great minds think alike, I retro fitted the my endorphin Speed 1 insole to my left Alphafly, no more arch pain. Training plan for tomorrow, 10 miles at goal pace fingers crossed no surprises! Although weather forecast is a little fresh..

Not tried the Prime X myself but love the Adidas Pro 3. Litestrike pro possibly my favourite foam.

Interested to get your view on the Endorphin Pro 3 as a marathon shoe contender. Will have to tune in for the next one!

The legality consideration is only valid for elites in international competition. You are good to go!

Same dilemma for me between these 2 shoes for London marathon in April. Had planned to use the Alphafly 2 for race day but been using the prime x strung during long training runs and they are so fantastic it’s really tempting to use those on the day instead! Will be a tough choice in the end!

Several US non elite friends have run marathons (at 2.55 to 3.15) in the OG Prime X.
I ran the Wrexham Half last year in my OG Prime X, although not a seasons fastest, l had no DOMs etc afterwards. The week after l ran the GNR half. This time l used the Vaporfly Next %. DOMs affected me within half hour of finishing! I improved on the earlier race by 20 seconds!
I picked up a second pair of the OG Prime X in November for £125. I will wait for the Strung to drop in price before l try it!

I really enjoy the Strung but I thought I could make it better. I replaced the insole with the Deviate 2 insole for today's run. I REALLY upped the cushion and bounce which made the ride unstable but VERY cush!!! Back to the drawing board.....

That's a great 20 mile run time for your goal time.

The clicking and squeaking noise on your Alphafly 2 would be due to foam or plate issue. My almost new Alphafly 1 developed clicks and squeaks during Houston Marathon and after the marathon upon examination I noticed a big perpendicular crack on the foam around midfoot area. I sent the shoe back to Nike and got a refund. They have a long warranty so if you bought them from Nike you might make a warranty claim.

Amazing tip of swapping the insoles. Or instead of rip them just put one on top maybe... Specially for flat feet like mine lol. I'm training for my first marathon in October... thank you x

I've just done my 1st marathon. And thanks to you and your videos. They helped me choose what shoe I'm going to use. Used my prime X and oh boy they didn't disappoint.

Will be having a 32km race next month,will be using the alphaflys on that. We'll see how it'll go.

I still prefer Alphafly V1 for anything over 5k.

Can you link the insoles you use please? I hate feeling the arch of the alphafly pressing against my foot

Have both. Nike disintegrates way too soon

The adidas are better, Nike never re stocks any of their alphas
