Quran 33:33 supports shia belief, it is not about the wives of the Prophet PBUH according to Sahih al-Tirmidhi, v5, pp 351,663. Sahih Bukhari 3104, the Prophet warns us of Aisha, Sahih Bukhari also tells us Fatima died angry with Abu bakr now if the Quran is supporting her and Abu bakr does not and the Sunnis support Abu bakr that’s not Islam

Who said Sunni is sect? Sect are those who rejects verses sahabas and making stuff up. Those who Follow the sunnah of Mohammed (saw) they are Sunni. In the time of Mohammed (saw) every one was muslim. And after he left the world, those who follows his teaching via Hadith are called Sunni. 🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t know why people thinks it’s a sect.

Brother you’ve cut the speech out of context, had you allowed Dr. Naik to continue he would’ve said that a true practising muslism is the one who follows Quran and the Prophet’s Sunnah, which means that anyone who deviates from the correct Sunnah is to a degree not a true muslim.

Shiaas unfortunately have some polytheism as they seek forgiveness and seek help from dead people, they curse the companions of the prophet, whom Allah have praised in the Quran, not only that but they also curse and despise two of the prophet’s wives: Aisha and Hafsa.

Would you still say they hold true to Islam?

However, one must not claim individuals to be non-believers or pagans, since Allah is the Judge. Nonetheless, one could say the way of Shiaa, as an example, is deviant of the correct path, as it is incorrect/astray.

Surely the Muslims have no choice but to follow it, as a source of Divine guidance, in all their affairs. The Prophet Muhammad (s) left two things as legacy to the Muslims, and promised that they will never separate from each other until the Day of Judgement. By twinning the Ahl al-Bayt with the Qur’an, the Prophet (s) was telling us to not only show respect towards them, but also to take explanations of Islamic doctrine, practices, hadith and tafsir from them.

“Behold! My Ahl al-Bayt are like the Ark of Noah. Whoever embarked on it was saved, and whoever turned away from it perished”

• al-Hakim al-Naysaburi, al-Mustadrak `ala al-Sahihayn, volume 3, p. 151 and volume 2, page 343. He states that it is sahih in accordance with the criteria of Muslim

Ari bil nabi wull Islam

You forgot that Prophet also said that sects will be made despite of being mentioned in the Quran. And they will be reunited after Al Mahdi (A.S) comes. Zakir Naiks says that he doesn't belong to any sect but he does. He is Sunni.
