I wish these legendary items were in act 2. Some of them are disappointing that they have no or little impact because they’re so late like the daggers, there could be some amazing builds with those but they come so late it doesn’t matter. Giant sword as well being as the only large enemies I faced once getting it were in the last fight.

Nyrulna is my favorite legendary in the game. You get it in time to feel the impact it makes and you can dual wield it, use with a shield, use as a 2hander or run as a Barb/Rog and get 4 throws a turn without any extra turn stuff and the throw damage can be boosted extremely high

correction, Selune's Spear of Night is what you get when you save Dame Aylin and she collects it to bless it as Selune's daughter. Shar's Spear of Evening is for if you kill Dame Aylin with the spear.

the reason the spear of Night is attributed to Selune is because of what Dame Aylin says when she gives it to you, saying that Shar and Selune share the same power, what is one of theirs is equally owned by the other, and its a combination of their power. Whereas the Spear of Evening is further drenched in Lady Loss's darkness.

The trident is versatile and thrown. Can it be used in melee, and does the versatile quality allow great weapon fighting and great weapon master to work with it if I don't have a shield equipped?

You can get the devotee's mace for free by using Hope in the House of Hope. She can use divine intervention and just throw the mace on the ground. That way you can use the spell on your character as a get out of jail free card later on.

For your cleric divine intervention mace you can use a hireling to get it OR you can have Hope summon it for you and just take it from her or have her drop it towards the end of the fight if you’re cheap…..

You can simply take Markoheskir and the armour, last night on ps5, i was messing around the tower, failed the arcana check, so didn't know that to exactly do there, by just pressing on it with Astarion, he could reach both of the items. Surely a bug tho.

Feel like there are way more two handed weapons and not enough dagges, shortwords and such.

I personally think blood of lathander would be very good being used by say, a paladin, who doesnt get 6th level spell slots to begin with.

Kinda let down by the act3 aspect of alot of these items, the lack of content in act 3 means I didnt really get to run these for very long, nyrulna and the staff are the ones i gained the most appreciation for as I got those rather early but alot of the others I only got as I was wrapping up loose ends just prior to completing the game, the helldusk armor and orphic hammer I got literally the (house of hope) quest before going into the endgame quest and fighting the netherbrain. The closed door aspect of the ending where its fade to black and thats it means I didnt really get to play with these items for long enough and they felt pretty lackluster as I didnt really have an opportunity to spec around certain items. That said the giantslayer greatsword absolutely fucked when used by my fighter main charachter.

The Silver Sword of the Astral Plane + several other Githyanki-specific pieces of gear made Lae'zel basically invincible to status effects in my Tactician playthrough. You just couldn't stop her.

To get the giant slayer great great-sword you can just fail one of the challenges and fight and beat all undead spawned and it unlocks the door to the boss and loot!

Ethel in Act 3 has an alternate solution, if you KO her you get dialogue to cut out the child.

The lack of longbows in this game made me sad

hey not to be a asshole but you forgot the legendary boots from true soul nere in the grim forge in act 2 you get them from either killing him in battle or just letting him die. :)

Very happy that I accidentally got almost all legendaries in first run, missing only the Gith greatsword. That one and the Djinn's Trident are the easiest ones to miss.

You lost me when you put blood of Lathander so low. Ding dong your opinion is wrong.

Moonbeam is not at all the same as Sunbeam.... Sunbeambeam is instant and does burst damage.. Moonbeam is a concenstration, which stays and can be moved around by discarding movement on your character for that turn.

Orin challenged my Dark Urge paladin with Giantslayer on duel and turned to the Slayer form which is large. She got slain in 1 turn.

Makes me fairly sad that there aren't any Warlock-specific Legendries. Ah well. Fingers crossed for DLC.

If you save Hope, when you fight Raphael, you can have her do the Divine Intervention for exact same Devotee Mace, and then have her drop it. For me she got disarmed during the fight so I just picked it up with one of my Core 4

Nyrulna with the gauntlets of displacement is maybe the most fun combo in all BG3 haha

Barbarians can't use helldusk armor without sacrifying their core gameplay (they can't use rage), so no, not everyone can use it.
In my playthrought i gave it to Laezelle

so if you use disguise self you can get the perks based on race

I slapped gontr mael on a hunter ranger and its kinda insane with the barrage aoe shot ability cause it has a chance to inflict guiding bolt on everything it hits lol

you can use command, heat metal and really anything that will make him drop the weapon
you can start the fight in pause its better to position yourself
just turn into a gith with disguise and then equip the sword for the bonuses... imo second best 2 handed sword in game

Devotee's Mace: if you go into the House of Hope (or use a hireling you don't care about) and free Hope, you can have her use Divine Intervention to get the weapon. You can then throw the mace to unequip it, and have a party member pick it up.
Saves a use of Divine Intervention for another time, like hitting a dragon in the face with God.
Also, if you have the Hellrider's Pride gloves (I think they're called, you get 'em from Zevlor through quest or violent negotiation) and you use Healing Incense Aura, you and your allies get Blade Ward every turn.

For the giantslayer sword i didn't have to do any of the challenges, just had to fight a few skeletons then I was able to go talk to the dragon. still don't understand why.

So, by my calculation, if I put the legendary Helm, the Helldusk Armor, and that Shield on Shadowheart… her AC would be 25, throw Shield of Faith on to make it 27

Best thing is that you can get a copy of Blood of Lathander via mirror fight

One thing about divinity I liked better was being able to change the origin characters classes. Is shadowheart the only cleric?
