This is good information and nicely consolidated, but for beginners at each stage we have to spend time looking up these locations and backing up to re-listen to where you said to go. I fell exhausted watching the video, I don't know how I would feel if I start doing this my self

My friend told me there was an easier way to get the mount, and look what I find, still more chores that make me wanna bash my head into a wall. Would it kill Areana net to just idk give us the mount like every other mmo after a short easy quest? Sure cool mount movement is cool, but it isnt worth the headache to me.

For the Kill Ooze's part. you can also go to the jumping puzzle in the southeast part of Queensdale and at the last section before completing it. there are a bunch of ooze's.

So if I already have the skyscale the only thing I get is the option to unlock the Kryptis skyscale skin?

I find this sequence of tasks necessary to conquer this mount completely insane. It would be much better to earn it through a sequence of quests, linked together in a story, which once completed would release the mount.

Holy shit this is daunting. Just getting back into the game after 9 years and I’m not sure I have the patience for this

Do those Skyscale Nests eventually respawn?

it might be because i hoard too much but i finished this in like...20min? 😂 i had charged quartz in my bank from just mindlessly charging them every day n never actually sold anything made with it, so it was immediate 12 treats purchase, and i mustve done just enough random rift hunts and events from doing story and wandering around the map that i had all the currencies and mats, so it was mostly just waypointing around to buy them.

i guess it really paid off that im a hoarder and went through everything casually and didnt bum rush the skyscale (mainly cuz they let u use it on soto maps anyway so i didnt feel any urgency, and non soto maps were fine without, i made it this far without a skyscale and didnt really feel too hampered)

From egg to final mastery....I spent 18 hours straight unlocking this (wish I would've recorded it now).... no sleep, barely any sanity left, and if I see another rift within the next 3 weeks I'm going to scream. Totally worth it. Would I do it all again? Absolutely.

Do I need to complete the main story of SOTO in order to get the skyscale from SOTO? Or all I need is the materials and masteries?

Considering the fact you have to collect all the currencies this method isn't faster than getting skyscale at S4 PoF. If you are completely new and have 0 currencies etc. at your disposal i would recommend the "old" way. I tested it on a new account. Just my thoughts.

When you are showing the Waypoint locations PLEASE zoom all the way out first. As a new player I have absolutely no clue where these places are and was a pain in the ass to look for, especially since the world map is SO big. Thank you for the guide though.

This all seems like much but it is in fact what makes gw2 a very rewarding game to play.

My love of WvW saved me on the Provisioner's Tokens. I think I purchased 20 from Dugan at once.

Better get it the old way. The new way requires provisioner tokens which is such a timegate.

Tbh i like you and your streams and asura and everything, but one thing i would mention. I dont know the whole map from just smaller pieces of the map or waypoint names, you could help me with telling me where is that part of the map exactly with like a more zoomed out image or something like that. Still doing the skyscale and your video helped me already but like I had to open another guide (or wiki instead) to find that place where u are in the video :D ty the guide anyways, gl everyone for getting the skyscale :D
