On the bright side at least you have a building, some people don't have jack.
ОтветитьWhat’s the name of the Company? I feel for you😢 I had the same problem on a big project, the workmanship has become misery, one thing leads to another! Can’t trust No one these days!
ОтветитьI cant understand how they can get away with collecting for the building before the final inspection but they do and these contracts they write should be illegal there is absolutely no customer protection written into them I dont know about your state ,but if you stop payment on a check in Florida it is a felony the best we can do is take them to court MORE MONEY I usually go to the factory and buy my building and for around 200.00 I can have it installed within 2 days I got lazy this time but never again I learned my lesson well 8 weeks and still waiting and read your contract front and back there contracts allow them to do anything but kill you BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you, you just saved me 16K.
Ответитьjust had an awning put up and got done the same way. when it rains water comes in under the ridge cap. out of level , silicone on screws and damaged panels . dimples and overtightened screws everywhere. couldn't inspect until next morning and o brother. pissed
ОтветитьWas it Carolina carports? They are the worst to try and deal with. They stole $7000 of our money and never delivered anything. Check the reviews on them and you will see this is fact.
ОтветитьDude who’s the pole shed company man , help us out to avoid this company
ОтветитьHaving seen your earlier video about this building, I have to admit I found this video very stressful to watch because I was sure one of those panels was either going to collapse or slide enough to have you lose your balance. I see another video in the queue that, by the title, seems to indicate that the company eventually made things right. Getting ready to watch that one. Is this company Eagle Carports out of North Carolina? Your description of the installers sounds similar to the types of people they use.
ОтветитьPlease out the company that did this so we don't use them.
Thanks.
That’s why you have to ask for their warranties, I’m an authorized steel building dealer and the manufacturer that I sell for offers 1year workmanship warranty. Don’t settle for less and if a company offers any less than 6 month workmanship warranty, just look somewhere else. I also sell for my brother who is been installing buildings for 15 years and he offers a 1 year workmanship warranty as well. Some of this companies are shady and just want your money and as soon as they take it they don’t care about their customers
ОтветитьBet the cheapest bid won.
ОтветитьWhat company did you buy from?
ОтветитьOften there is a stitch screw applied to that lap on the high rib through both sheets. I saw the the first video and commented I believe on you better check the roof. All your points are spot on. Retired sheet metal worker.
ОтветитьCan you please name this company? I’m shopping and don’t want to use them!
ОтветитьIs there a final video on the outcome? Lawsuit? Did the builder make it right? We’re there adequate reviews checked before hiring said contractor?
Ответить3 BLIND MICE!! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьSue them!
ОтветитьDude that makes everybody angry .
ОтветитьThat’s not passable that’s Slop.
Ответитьi think all the screws are supposed to be black as well?
ОтветитьEvery metal building buyer should watch your videos. This is stealing on their part. They're thieves
ОтветитьI just signed a deal on a building yesterday. After watching your video you can bet I'll be keeping a close eye on the install.
ОтветитьOMG... JUST WOW... I would simply sue them
ОтветитьWait for a dry day wipe off misses from screws and Silicone
Until fixed. So go silicone all your screws. 💯
I build these buildings 💯
Fired off the roof real quick
I can’t believe you didn’t see the cap!!
It should be screwed off every rib with vent cap or foam tape. Extra screws because the missed Pearl ends. Lame I can fix it 100 you in California??
That’s shitty work sorry about your shop bro.
Name the Company so no one else will get burned.
ОтветитьSo who did the building?
ОтветитьI feel bad for you. I truly know how you feel.
ОтветитьGuessing they have never heard of a chalk line. That’s what we use for doing roofs. Gives you a nice neat row of screws. Plus over here we screw mostly on the peaks.Also. To fix most of that the quickest and cheapest solution would be to get a tube of silicone and silicone up every screw and every hole. Use a dark coloured one so you can see from inside any you missed
ОтветитьHi wondering if there is a video on the outcome of your garage on the workmanship
ОтветитьWho was the building company?
ОтветитьThe name of the capitalist outfit which did this should be in every sentence you utter.
ОтветитьThose screws with the grommets installed at an angle? They are going to leak.
ОтветитьA lot money to get one horrible thing...
ОтветитьI can pick anything apart!!dude’s just looking for a free building!!! LMAO!!!!
ОтветитьFather God please help this family in this situation 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🥹
ОтветитьWHO built the structure? OUT THEM!
ОтветитьNo dude take the cause of your agony. And fix it.
ОтветитьI just finished mine. Versatube 20x25. First, I've never built a thing in my life. I had zero help, which sucked, but I got it done. Took longer but I followed my instructions and mine came out a ton better than that. Admittedly I missed a few 'studs' but I'm no builder. Have some scratches from slipping putting the screws in some too. But the metal sides and roof was lapped over correctly, screwed down consistently in the right locations. Corners a but rough. But these "pros" should know better....I did by just reading.
ОтветитьI wonder how many shiners, screws that didn’t hit the framing , there are. More than 3 is totally unacceptable. None is expected
ОтветитьIt takes no time to snap chulk lines to run straight lines.
And a measure tape works wonders on laying out where you want things...
This is shadetree crackhead carpentry at its finest.
What company was this? I'm getting ready to order from Allens was it them>
ОтветитьGet a full refund, offer a short window for them to come and remove their bullshit work and if they don't comply keep their crappy building it's yours to use as materials. They will lose their ass in court if they try and test that.
ОтветитьWhen they over tighten those screws the rubber gasket deforms which WILL leak after the gasket falls apart in short order.
ОтветитьWooden Goodness, I responded to the comment of Kevin Rose (see below what he is offering you: pro bono means free lawful assistance) "so nice of you to offer him this. I think if he proceeds and uses the structure or delays ("statute of limitations" like issue), then he would not stand a chance unless the company decides to correct the issues. Another way he could remedy the issues is by getting a professional such as yourself to mediate with something like "if leaks occur or if structural defects appear or if the value of the steel building is significantly reduced by an official appraisal etc." the company would compensate him for the difference or replace at no cost. There should also be both lifetime warranty on structure and 40- or 50-year warranty on other things like leaks and the like. He is not completely out of luck. But if the quality of work is what's getting to him (and we all understand), then by all means he should act quickly. Thanks" Let us know how it turns out.
ОтветитьIt is beyond awful. Time to get a lawyer and have that complete building removed and get another installer and building put in.
ОтветитьDamn. It really sucks that you are going through this man. I’m going to get a metal garage in the spring. I really hope I don’t have to go through anything like this. We have been saving for so long to get this garage. Im not sure if I would be as calm and collected as you. You made the right choice by staying calm. No sense in freaking out over something you can’t immediately change. Just be patient and they will get it fixed or give your money back. The boss on that job better get fired. I wish you the best brother!!!!
ОтветитьI agree I wish people could just get along treat people fairly totally understand how you feel been there and I'm the one that took the loss
ОтветитьHate to add insult to injury but hope company wasn't low bid
Ответить
