Samsung S95B QD - OLED 4K 144Hz Test | NVIDIA RTX 4090

Hi! I have the same hardware, and i try to pit 144hz but the tv, when u put the "channel" in to corner, show only 120hz u know the problem?

What type of HDMI cable are you using? I have the same tv but I only manage to have 4k 60hz, even though my hdmi cable is 8k graded.

I'm buying mine this week I was waiting on the LG G3 because I own a LG CX its a great tv but not bright enough for movies but the 144htz by S95C is my choice because I'm getting a PC next thx brother after watching this I made my choice these goof balls made 16 hours of content comparing a LG G3 and S95C with a bunch of images we will never use in the real world

What desk are you using to be able to fit the tv and be able to game at a decent distance

Thx cuz this is the Video i was searching for cuz i want to buy a TV that can handle 120Hz or more without flickering cuz my acutal NANO90 cant handle 4K120Hz cuz it flickers so hard with VRR on or off, G-Sync on or off or both on or off. I cannot play like it cuz it s***s! 😅

for me, its staying at 144hz in the control panel, but it's difinitely only 100hz, alien test and choppy mouse movement...
when i move the mouse back and forth i see 3 cursors at a time like it's missing the 4th that give me 144 frames

How come windows reports 10bit if you are 8 bit in nvcp ?
Also you may find that some games simply won't turn on hdr without 10bit, though rare now.

Thinking about getting the LG c2 42, pairing it with 5800x3d and 4070 ti and just running games on high/promised settings when needed, or running the screen at 21:9 3840x1600p that would be like a 39 inch ultrawide.

What did you do with your lg oled btw? Sold it or do you still use it? (Also: don't update the firmware, people have reported continous downgrades with each patch)

Is it worth waiting for S95C or just buy a S95B on discount? The discount itself is quite steep, for a "OLED" TV. There seem to be a lot of performance issues with the TV: sometimes the panel is bent, sometimes the color saturation is blown up, sometimes people report the TV not working either on delivery or a few days later. Is this common for TV in this range of quality and performance, or is Samsung S95B suffering from above average performance/quality issues?

I have an LG c2 48 and 13900k and RTX 4090. OLED is definitely the way to go can’t imagine QD OLED. The 2023 G3 from LG will have 2000 nits peak brightness. I did have a question for you but do you plan on upgrading to AMD 7000x3d vcache CPUs that were just announced. The amount of cache on the 7950x3d is insane and I’m sure this CPU line will steal gaming performance from the 13900k but then again it will require a new motherboard but nothing but the best for you.

I don't see the benefit of lowering to 8bit for 24hz to be honest. Nice video though. There's an HDR mod fix for cyberpunk to make it better.

If you demonstrate this tv with cyberpunk then you should upload in HDR. Your phone can handle it.

the phone doesn't do it justice but ya, great upgrade. I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on the S95B myself. wanted to see if the S95C was going to change much and I don't think it changed enough to matter. And the C3 from LG still doesn't have the high brightness of the G2/G3 so S95b is a great value

Simply an awesome display, i got it when it was released. The highlights in hdr is next level. Congrats.
U can check avsforums for the settings if ur not calibrating urself. They got some great settings there.

I think nvidia had hd resolution which is meant for tvs but I think their locked to 120 if im not wrong

Samsung & Sony have taken over LG maybe LG will come back this year with their new oleds apparently up to 70% brighter but its still not qd oled.

Also, this was just another reminder that playing CP2077 with RT disabled seems to be way more immersive to me. The performance hit with RT on just makes everything feel sluggish.

It Really is a beautiful TV, my friend has it in his living room, thought about getting this, the C2, or the A95k. But I'll just stick with my QN90B Qled for the moment, love the brightness on it, it really just pops. I'll definitely get an oled once they can achieve around the 1500 peak brightness mark though...
