BROTATO is top notch, i got a hundred hours in, everything unlocked but still keep on playing. Winning a game with every 40+ base characters on difficulty 5 is the real thing here and omg it's challenging !
Hall of torments is also very good, especially since they removed the 60 fps lock and had more content 👍

Huge misconceptions a lot of people have is thinking vampire survival was the first one.
Magic survival by Leme on mobile was actually the first one, sadly the newest updates aren't comparing to vampire survivor.
Though their evolve system and item system make it more fun, the new gacha system isn't fun at all.
The evolve system is also extremely complex with no help to the player like shower which evolve goes onto which power (every ability has 3 end paths, and every evolve takes 1 of those with 1 other ability)

Spirit Hunters is good, Boneraiser minions is great, Spellbook Demonslayers is good too, check them out.

So Risk of Rain isnt a horde survival game?

Boneraiser Minions is my personal favourite from this subgenre. Very unique premise and mechanics, a bangin soundtrack, lots of replay value and just overall made with a lot of love!

Another issue with the Pathfinder one is the run time. It's about 5 to 10 minutes per floor, so it seems ok at first, so once you're strong enough to get to 10 or so floors down, the run time end up being well over 40 minutes. I feel like they could fix this by letting you quit after beating a floor and then start from where you left off later, but as it is now I found myself just letting my character die cause I played too well during my lunch break.

I'm actually amazed that almost every single tier list I see for Horde Survivor games doesn't include the one I think beats every single one: Nova Drift. If you haven't played it I highly encourage you, it's in Early Access since some years ago but it has some of the best weapon/abilities in the genre, plus the combos you can make are just so fun to do, they will be coming out of EA this year if I remember correctly.

I just found this video and saw a clip of Nomad Survival in the beginning and was curious to know where it stands, but then realized it doesn't stand anywhere. I laughed because this happens way more often than I'd like to admit. Bit of a curse with the game.

You should try Apocalypse Party! It has some bad reviews because some people encountered crashes, but I haven't had any and I play on a potato😂 I had more fun on it than with Death must die tbh.

Death Must Die is AMAZING if you give some time into it and grind up some gears
The grinding part reminds me so much about Diablo 2 , and you'd try to minmax the roll and find the best one to build your character.
The Hades type leveling system also make the game variety so much more, and each god really emphasize on one aspect, and you can pick up to 3 major gods and 1 support god.
With only 1 stage, i already sink 40 hrs into it , trying to grind the best piece of gear for my character. It even has unique gear that has special effect or special item that attach a skill on it.
Cant wait for them to release stage 2.

I honestly didn't expect i'd like this game as much as i did when i first played it because before you get some gears first, the game progression can be quite a bit tedious, especially if you add difficulty toggle on (it's a system that just like Hades difficulty system.

I've only played Vampire Survivors so far, but I'm in love with it. Looking for another good one for the Nintendo Switch.

I have one BIG complaint about 20 Minutes Till Dawn... a severe lack of music. For real, this game only has like 2 tracks which honestly makes me think the game is bad because, it is just this brooding atmosphere that just drones on and on. The gameplay is fine for what it is, kind of scratches that itch but it is definitely lacking when it comes to variety. The only part I found most fun was the Endless mode where you can stack your summons and weapons' effects. The most deadly combo at least was getting the combo that essentially improved the strength of your summons every 15 kills... it is nasty and too powerful for its own good. But I don't feel compelled to return to the game since there isn't really much you can do aside from unlocking the remaining runes.

Rogue: Genesia is great, and also has very short playsessions instead of 20-30 minute slogs

Loved soulstone survivors a lot until I hit endgame content. Grind is real and I have to sweat my ass for 7 8 runs in order to craft new weapon. It became unfun. Granted I played more than 100 hours

I personally think that soulstone survivors is the best one, I feel like it has an endless amount of content for a game that's fairly recent. It also is very unique with it having skill types, multi cast, and curses. Soulstone survivors is definitely one of my favorite games right now, and I hope the game developers the best!

Kinda sad that nobody seems to remember that this genre isn't new at all.
Crimsonland is one of the first "survivor" style games and early builds of it came out all the way back in 2002. Final version in 2004 i think. And the Finnish developers 10tons ltd. made several such games, they are all on Steam, albeit a bit expensive ($13).

They have everything Vampire Survivors has. Many weapons, level up system, different enemies, escalating difficulty. And you have to aim and shoot your guns. It's a twin stick shooter.
They do not have hard time limits. You just grind for high score and eventually a soft lock happens where your fire bullets powerup runs out and enemies have too much health to bother killing them. At this point you have passed the game, cos you could kite them indefinitely.

Void scrappers and boneraiser minions are 2 of the best VS clones I've came across.

There's one called 'Bounty of One' that seems to be a fantasy western based world, it has a few chars, and each run has you fight against three bosses. Sadly atm there are only 4 bosses available, and only the first one will be swapped out between one or the other. If you enjoy these games, it's fun to get into, and it is also co-op up to four people.

I leave the suggestion here for Vampire Hunters. It is a first-person horde survival game

As a person who use phone alot, it such a miss when you not mention magic survival, it launch on both ios and android but not on other platform like those game in your video. I think it's a decent game, got changes a bit after some big update but still a simple game to get along with

ah yes i played 20 mins till dawn and built a lilith virus build using the crossbow... it's basically getting all the death effects making it so that a death of one enemy spawns several attacks making it like a virus that spreads throughout the enemies... BE CAREFUL THE GAME MAY CRASH

Vampire survivors(I only have 80h), Soulstone Survivors(115h) or Death Muys Die(15h)
That last one really enchanted me. Equipment system, dialogues, The Difficulty!!!
