Godherja is by far my favourite mod, the amount of lore is so awesome and it’s quickly become my favourite fantasy world

Princes of Darkness has to be my favorite of all time. I have hundreds of hours in it and I love everything about it. I’m big on making goals to do the major decisions for the races and what have you, and I love reading the lore in-game. Funny enough, I’m not a fan of the fantasy genre… at all. But I love the world the mod takes place in. I do wish it had a way to play as the first three generations though, or Caine, or maybe even revive them! That would be awesome. Play a run where you try to revive Caine.

also, after the end. while it is still in beta and incomplete, it is still quite fun and the worldbuilding is nice. basically its post apocalyptic america. there are groups that worship the founding fathers as gods, new native american empires in the southwest, cults which worship the atom, and even a tribe that worships walt disney as a minor god. there are also groups who believe the apocalypse happened due to not worshipping the united states dollar. very goofy but very fun

I just want paradox to make a modern political game.

GOT mod, I assume, lets you map paint but it actually feels realistic and in-lore. Sieze the iron throne as Daenerys!

I'd like to see a mod that was set after 1492. While this would depend on the kingdom's level of centralization, most would just be "North Korea mode." Maybe vassals, who don't hold specific land but just own mercenary armies, can be used to stand in for various sectors of society? Or maybe scrap that entirely and create a new, Victoria-style mechanic for revolts but technically using the levy system.

I keep forgetting the amount of mods this game has, how do you get all those kings/lords onto the screen? It's one thing I struggle with.

I really do want to play the mods but should I learn vanilla completely first? Before I go for mods? What would you recommend?

The sad part of recent updates is you never know which mods work or dont and its constantly changing

Are any of these mods available on Paradox Plaza? All of these mods seem very interesting, but I'm playing on PC with Gamepass, so I can't install mods using steam.

I see from another comment that you’ve never tried After the End.
Have you tried/looked it up by now?
It’s in a very similar stage like AGOT.
“Playable but there still a lot of work to be done”, it also doesn’t help you have to manually install it instead of the steam workshop.
It’s also similar to LOTR in the sense of lore in how cultures are formed by their geography, the revival of native beliefs and creation of new faiths.
To give an example you have an Americanist faith (worship of the founding father and dearly held American concepts) and other faiths based around great figures or a nation’s identity (such as Che Guevara and the Canadian remembrance faith),
Industrialists (worship of industry), faiths worshipping Internet, a faith for surfers, faiths based on sci-fi and like a billion faiths that are some form of Christianity or syncretic with it.

Godherja is another fun fantasy overhaul but the setting is bleak and there's a lot of reading you need to do to get the lore. The world has a lot of work and passion put into it though.

AGOT, Elder King's 2, and Realms in Exile are my favourites. One I am looking forward to is the Avatar mod, The Four Nations.

I wish they would update EK2 to the most recent version of CK3, but still fantastic mod.

No After the End?

After all the fun of making an army so rich and powerful, you could do a world conquest twice over but don't because then you'd have nothing to do, Total conversion mods are really great. I can't wait for the Thedas Kings to come to CK3. Thanks to you, I started watching GOT and got into the AGOT mod.
