Thank you AG. I am going to look for the dried banana slices at Walmart next time I go. That would be a great thing for me to have on hand. Thank you for your very helpful info. God bless ❤
ОтветитьIn college a carload of us would go hiking in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains, NH on weekends, a lot, three seasons. All we each took to eat was a stick of Hard Salami, a block of Cheddar Cheese (or whatever you liked), a loaf of French Bread, some Wine of course, Water, .... Boy did it taste good, it was perfect. Some of us also carried a bag of our favorite 'trail mix'. Mine had: peanuts, tree nuts (cashews), dried Tropical fruits, m&ms, little pretzels (loved these), lots of raisins, corn or rice Chex cereal (loved Chex too) , sunflower and/or pumpkin seeds ... It was a yummy buffet, lol, for snacking.
At home Chef Boyardee is my favorite fall back. I keep my car stocked with a jar of peanut butter, a jar of strawberry preserves, a sleeve of Pilot Crackers and plenty of bottled water. This will keep me fed and hydrated for days. Sometimes a bag of jerky but that always disappears before needed in an emergency. Keep it Simple. Thx AG, good topic.
I went to Walmart the other day and found cans of cashew halves and pieces on clearance. I bought all 13 cans. The best buy date is good till late next year. I don't normally buy them because the prices have gone up on them, but couldn't pass them up, for the price they were on clearance. We actually love to eat cashews.
ОтветитьFunny- I'm snacking on Honey O's while watching. Sharing with my dogs, of course, as they like them, too.
Great video. Very sensible advice.
Thank You so much!!!!!(((hugs)))
ОтветитьI can't even get sailor boy piolet bread on Amazon anymore!!!😭😭
ОтветитьHi Granny !! Omg, Teddy is the luckiest woofie in the world to have you for his Mom !! I laughed out loud at him on the stool in the pantry ! Hysterical 😂 All of your ideas are fabulous and I do have most of them !! It’s definitely a mindset…. I’m always looking at things and foods with short term and long term in mind, much to the detriment of the bank account 😳. Love you Granny, and thank you for all you do !! ❤️
ОтветитьAt the dollar tree store, which is now $1.25 for the bigger items I found a 15 ounce can of whole sardines and tomato sauce so there’s no soy for people who are allergic to it add I will. They are delicious and additive for a buck and a quarter for 15 ounces of tunafish. Seriously, you have that attitude your supply of protein it doesn’t need to be cooked.
ОтветитьRice cakes used to be around $1- '$1.50. Latest I was was $4.37. Craziness. I Iike the popcorn flavored, but not the small ones, they have a cheesy substance sprinkled on.
ОтветитьGreat ideas , thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьWow, what a beautiful couple. Thank God , for Your wisdom and power, on handling it, and being strong.
Also, what a friend, you have in Teddy, and I guess, he is soooo cute.
Thank you, for this great , useful and enlightening list.
God bless you, for sharing.
🙏👍❤️🌹🌟🌺✨🌻💫
Teddy is so sweet! They give you so much love! God Bless!
ОтветитьWhere do you find the pilot bread in the states?
ОтветитьGreat variety of prepper foods, AG! Teddy looked so cute checking out your pantry! TFS!
Ответить😊
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьThank you, and God bless 🙏
ОтветитьGreat suggestions AG!
ОтветитьMy new awareness is the protein content, greater the protein, greater the ability to keep you ALIVE……having tons of canned veggies at 70 calories on average means per can means you are going to have to eat 30 cans a day……do the math, protein content should be the first consideration always….blessings ❤
ОтветитьI love your suggestions. They are all useful. Thank you! I have bought the tuna and chicken packs many times from the DT. They fit my budget and they are convenient for “ on the go” eating. They taste good but just a comment: they have around a 1/4 or so of food. You might need more than one package if you’re really hungry.
ОтветитьThank you for all the suggestions of ready to eat meals. Some I have and some I will try that I hadn't thought of! Thank you for showing Teddy on his little stool helping his Mom check the pantry! You put a big smile on my face!!! 🥰God Bless you!
ОтветитьThank you precious AG. 😎👍🏻
ОтветитьI really like the sausages with crackers and mainly at the holidays, Im sure it the advertising) but I am putting it on my list now. I know they were $6 or about last i seen. 😊
ОтветитьI use dry cereal as snacks for my kids. When my 2nd youngest was in public school, I supplied his classroom with daily snacks because the families were too poor or busy to pack a snack for their child. I just went to Aldi and bought their rice Chex cereal and honey nut “cheerios”.
ОтветитьWhen my Uncle Lester died someone gave my Aunt Mildred some protein drinks. It's something I would have never thought of. I'm glad you mentioned it. Grief kills the appetite, and it makes it hard to concentrate on even simple tasks. Great share!!!
ОтветитьGreat selection of survival foods there AG. 👍
I love rice cakes, especially the sour cream & chive ones, with Philadelphia on. Yumz.
TFS AG, take care & keep busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶
So cute to see little Teddy standing on his little stool in the pantry helping himself!
ОтветитьHello Alaska granny 🌷
ОтветитьMy favorite crackers are also saltines and triscuits. Recently I added graham crackers. They are the BEST with peanut butter!
ОтветитьGreat ideas! Thanks!
Ответитьvery helpful thanks Alaska Granny
ОтветитьCan the saltines be vaccum sealed in a mason jar to last longer ?
ОтветитьDollar Tree has potato and chicken a la king soups. Also chicken tamales. They'd be great over rice or with beans.
Thanks AG
Remember ya'll to Pray, Plan, Prep

ОтветитьAgain, I’m so sorry about your loss 😢
ОтветитьHello love watching you for a while now...Thank You for info. And May God Keep You Safe Happy And Healthy. In Jesus Name I Pray. Amen
ОтветитьMy first thought was the instant oatmeal packets.
ОтветитьGreat video AG..... Suggestions... You can vacuum seal nuts and they WILL last for years, also if chips or crackers go stale put them in your dehydrator for a few hours and they refresh. Once again I'm So sorry for the loss of " the Love of your life" I lost mine March 2nd was 2 years ago 🤗🤗🙏🙏 Kendra
ОтветитьThank you so much for all of these product ideas. What is your actual first name? Been watching you for a few years and realized I do not know. P.s. I like rice cakes with cream cheese and honey.
ОтветитьThe Hormel Completes have a ton of salt in them!😲😲
ОтветитьOnly pilot bread crackers I see is Vacuum Sealed Sailor Boy Pilot Bread Crackers 30 Year Shelf Life Case of 12
$139.94
I get canned soups that we like and then canned chicken and beef and we add some meat to the soup to make it a more substantial meal. Along with a salad it makes a good weeknight dinner but just the soup and meat can be eaten straight from the can if needed. If you get 30-50 meals worth you can have a SHTF dinner once a week and cycle through your canned food supply every year to keep it fresh.
ОтветитьOh, those protein shakes are also great for making iced mochas or iced caramel macchiatos. Get your tall cup with ice and add coffee or espresso and then the protein shake and maybe a shot of heavy cream if you like. Much less sugar than Starbucks and you cycle through your protein shake preps regularly. Though the shakes are getting so expensive it is still a bit cheaper than Starbucks.
ОтветитьAvoid protein drinks made with soy they will make you poop. Look for beef protein drinks.
ОтветитьMaybe consider doing a lower sodium food haul from whatever store/s you choose for African Americans… we have specific sodium needs… we have to have enough to survive too…inexpensive food … like Asian people can eat way higher sodium… me? I need low sodium options of ways to reduce sodium… thank you!!! I love your channel!!!🎉🎉
