Too bad you can’t use Apple Pay to subscribe direct. We’re paying more to Apple, maybe foolishly, but it’s one less place to give out our credit card details. Is google someplace we want storing our credit card info? Definitely not really.

I guarantee you if anything I'm underpaying and none of you. Nobody in the comments can get it for as much as I am paying unless you got it for free.

Well, I'm an Android user, which of course is Google anyway. However, Android also charges a fee for purchases done through apps. Which is why I mostly make any purchases through the web site for any service that has that option. I can usually still access it from the browser on the phone, although I sometimes need to switch it to desktop mode.

WoW! I was subscribed to YT for a year through Apple and canceled it last month when they raised the rate another $3/month to $18.99. Today I saw this video. I followed your recommendation and resubscribed for a year at $11.67/month. That's more than $4 less per month. The past month w/ads has been frustrating, though not worth the hike in my opinion. Way helpful. Thank you! (New subscriber here!).

Wild: It didn’t work for me.

I’ve been paying $12.99/month via Apple. My plan was to cancel that and get an $18.99 family plan. I canceled that (although it had a few more days).

I then came back 24 hours later on my Mac on a web browser, and it offered me $29.99 (Apple price) family plan or $13.99 for individual (more than I’ve been paying)!

I was able to get the $12.99 back, thankfully…

Maybe I have to wait for the current plan to completely lapse?

Great advice. I didn’t realise. Now I’m noticing my subscription to my national newspaper through Apple is more expensive than going directly through the Newspaper site.

Why have both Spotify & YT Music subscriptions?
YTM playlist functionality isn't as good as Spotify, but functional.
I have the free Spotify available if desired.

Should I go annual or monthly?

I believe that I get a lot from premium as audio books are my favourite. I listen to them as I work outside or just driving. Time just slips away.
