I know it's just a cliche, but he is one of us, and no amount of money that he's earned has jaded him. Well done, Sir!!!!
Ответить👍🙂LOVE "LENO'S GARAGE"!!!
ОтветитьGood one!
ОтветитьBut owns a Vw... Samsung Ford and tons of other companies funded the Nazi's in WW2. Are we supposed to just walk because some man was a bad person?
ОтветитьIm not a big car guy, but i just like hearing Jay talking about things he's passionate about.
ОтветитьGreat Interviewer. He just asks the questions and lets people talk. No interrupting, no opinions, etc. The way it is supposed to work.
ОтветитьI’ve hated Jay for most of my life because of my love for Conan but since the past few years, my respect, love and admiration for Jay has sky rocketed. A class act and the kind we’ll never see again.
ОтветитьI remember trash
ОтветитьEnjoyed Immensely !
ОтветитьHis comedy doesn't land with me, I appreciate he's clean, that's hard to do these days, but I'd MUCH rather get a beer with him than other A-listers. Seems like he only did comedy to get more cars!
ОтветитьI never understood how anyone in the world could hate jay Leno?
Ответитьyou land a guest like leno and you put the video up in awful resolution? Such a shame.
ОтветитьI could listen to Jays car stories forever.
Ответитьcrazy that all of his cars are registered
ОтветитьOldsmobile Hurst. Enough said.
ОтветитьWhat really impressed me was the Ferrari 275 story... Lady called to sell her car for $375K, it was worth closer to $4 million, and Jay told her as much. He could have made millions in 5 minutes of work, but didn't.
ОтветитьYou can ever get bored listen to Jay with a little joke here and there good knowledge no egos no bragging
How about the story with the lady and the Ferrari if that doesn't tell you the character of Jay Leno 👍
This would eat Howard alive listening to this
ОтветитьExactly as Leno said, when I was a teenager I was all about the newest and fastest stuff. Now, in my 30s, I have little interest in almost anything from the 21st century. Anyway, more impressed with Leno’s generosity than ever.
Ответитьone thing that does not get touched on alot is the fact this collection is his legacy. he does not have kids and this collection and his passion for all types of cars and engines will live on forever.
ОтветитьThe comment at the 2 minute mark...absolutely true.
ОтветитьI loved this interview. Just subscribed.
ОтветитьAutomotive Hall of Fame? Sounds like another cash grab.
ОтветитьI love listening to Jay about cars. He knows a ton.
ОтветитьHis knowledge is amazing. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable, umm, I've been humbled. Nothing cooler than an original car
ОтветитьGreat job Jason. Love Jay Leno. He's a very humble person.
ОтветитьHave Adam Carolla on and talk Paul newman
ОтветитьJay Leno is a living legend. God bless him.
ОтветитьMy daughter and I met Jay at the Audrain Concourse in Newport, RI last fall. I've been a fan of his since his days on the Tonight Show. He was very gracious and interesting to talk to, I really enjoyed this episode.
ОтветитьAmazing interview. My only complaint is the volume level between yourself & Jay. If I turn it up loud enough to really hear jay I'm blown out by your audio level. Maybe adjust the levels before the interview to compensate for your superior microphone especially if the other person is using a phone or computer mic.
ОтветитьHonestly my first impression of him was absolutely wrong
I thought he was an another rich guy who just wants to flaunt his wealth with cars
Turns out I was absolutely wrong and he is actually passionate about them
Boy am I glad that I was wrong
I'd love to hear more stories like the Ferrari where he helped the woman more then he did by buying it himself
ОтветитьMy grandparents lived on a 80 acre farm in the central valley in California. There was an 110' long dairy barn that was about 100 year's old. Inside the barn was my grandma's 1964.5 Mustang and my grandpa's Cessa 140 airplane. He sold them to a man that worked for an aeronautical company in Southern California and was going restore them. That was about ten years ago.
Ответитьthat was really good. could have done without that terrible outro, but hey if that's how it needs to be.
ОтветитьLoved driving a 51 Chevy through the fields of south jersey at 11 years old!
ОтветитьYour thumbnail looks like it whould want to ask people to.. just take a seat.
ОтветитьGreat interview with a such an awesome and genuine guest. Good job Jason, keep up the good work. You have a new subscriber!
ОтветитьI agree! What a wonderful interview! Great questions with interesting answers that was so pleasantly relaxed and paced! Bravo Jay,
AND Bravo CARS and CULTURE TEAM! 8-)
Love your stories Jay.
ОтветитьTrue Story of a Ford V8:
My grandfather bought his first car aged 14 in 1939, a 1937 Ford V8. When the Germans Attacked us in April 1940, he hid the car to prevent it from being taken by the Wehrmacht. He joined the Norwegian resistance in 1944 aged 18, and together with his wife to be, and a major in the resistance army, they blew up a ferry nearing completion, his grandfather, my great great grandfather, was forced to build for the German war effort, at his shipyard.
V-Day May 8th he had his Ford V8 pulled out from hiding and it led the victory parade where he drove wearing his Norwegian Armed forces uniform publicly for the first time ever.
My great great grandfather didn’t have any boys, but three girls, and my grandfather was the first born boy of the three daughters. He therefore inherited the shipyard when the old man passed away in 1951. My father, born in 1952, inherited the shipyard after him, but unfortunately didn’t inherit my grandfathers love of cars, of which he had many stately cars over the years. When I was aged 14, my grandfather taught me to drive in his Volvo 760 Turbo, in which we hurled down power sliding it along the dirt airstrip, created by the Germans, at our home town. My grandfather grinning from ear to ear, with me behind the wheel, tearing up the dirt track while he clutched onto his six pence grabbing the roof handle bar to try stay in the Volvo’s seat, us doing double the national speed limit on dirt and snow.
The last drive we had together was the same route as in the Volvo, but in my 964 Carrera Cabriolet back in 2016. Even then, I put a smile on him aged 92, when pushing the Carrera listening to the roar of the cup exhaust down memory lane. He passed in 2018❤️
Cars and Culture and History Jay Leno!❤️
Watching 'Grand Torino' and this video...maybe not the best selection.
ОтветитьPaid $300 for my first car (65), a yellow 55 Chevy 210...Just an old car
ОтветитьTotally remember in HS (67) in Oregon that a lot of guys had rifles in their truck windows...
Ответитьgreat interview Jason, just subbed to the channel. Jay is a genuine car guy I could listen to him all day.
ОтветитьI lost all respect for DeLorean when the story came out about him swindling the guy who invented the 'lossless coolant system". The guy was a trucker, came up with a transformative idea (the radiator overflow tank all cars now have) and John ripped him off. Just unforgivable... (Netflix - DeLorean / Myth and Mogul )
Everyone of Jay's stories about how he treats other people is the exact opposite of John DeLorean, kudos to Jay's parents for bringing him up proper!
Jay is very unique. Rich, great guy, not out to screw anyone on price as in that Ferrari story, Drives the cars, loves to meet people on the street and has had some of them with unique vehicles on the Garage show, seems like he'd talk to anyone, Took someone's Dad out in a Duesenberg that brought back memories, restored some ladies Hudson that was full of memories for her and took her out for a drive in it. What fun all that would be too. Live long and prosper Jay :)
I saw another episode of someone who had lots of expensive cars but had them all sitting behind ropes in some big finished warehouse-Maybe haul one out to Pebble on occasion. "Oh, here are the Rolls Royces" and there's 19 or something of them and I just found that setup to be very unimpressive. A person buys a car and puts in a warehouse and there's no connection, they don't drive it and if there is a story they probably don't know what it is.
henry phords ass..who cares..mopar or no car and compare them to everything, there the strongest, the lightest the coolest looking, fuck every vette ever made, who cares..
