Why is she not immediately arrested? She gets to go home that night after admitting to starving the baby to death? WTF? The difference between how men and women treated is appalling. A man would be cuffed and stuffed THAT day after admitting to starving the child to death, not get an extra night with their significant otber. Am I off base here?? I don't think so.

I know I should absolutely despise Jessica. And actually I do. However- as a single mother, my one and only child born 2 months after my 18th birthday in 2006 - the thoughts of help at that young of an age and being successful in raising your baby to adulthood is the heaviest thing to carry, and multiplied when you are barely an adult yourself. Glory be to God, I successfully raised my child, he turned 18 this August, and he even made his dream come true to move to Colorado at 18 this year. I never received a child support payment since he was 4 years old and had extremely minimal family help - most of which put me at more risk actually. Its extremely hard to make happen. For those with less strength, education, support, you can easily fall into situations where you could feel completely lost. I know, and admit, this could have been me. This can be many young moms. People need people. Young women especially, we need community, we need allies, to hold us all above any of the difficult situations we come from. If you THINK something, SAY something. Not just to that person, but to allies, support systems, family if they have any you know. I'm not blaming anyone else for what she did, but trying to raise social awareness for the many young women who end up in similar situations. Lets all rise up ❤

Most newborn baby cases I hear about where the mother is from a Christian family that doesn’t permit sex before marriage and the pregnancy is hidden, the baby will end up thrown in the trash. This case is different. Why did she hold onto the body?

My guess is she had a plan but was not expecting this baby to be born alive this time because of what happened last time. The last experience was Why did she hold help or counseling after last time and spent a few days in a state of cognitive dissonance this time. Avoidance.

Always wonder if these girls/women know that you can legally give up your baby/kid at places like fire station’s & hospitals? Wonder if detective will bring that up?

Why wasn't she on birth control?!

With all the options available and accessible to women now who discover they're pregnant, and they know they cannot or do not want to keep the baby... it blows my mind that these cases still occur. You had 9 months to decide.. research.. make a plan. There are hospitals that will take newborns with no questions asked. ALL these very freaking simple options, but this still happens.. babies left to die instead of making a rational choice that would allow her to maintain her secret pregnancy/birth, AND allow that baby to be taken into a forever home by parents that WANT a baby desperately... yet this THIS is what they decide to stick with over those 9 months of opportunity to seek resources. I don't get it.

I'm not a mother and chose not to be one from a young age because I didn't want to pass on any of my mental health problems to an innocent child. I took every precaution to never get pregnant and thankfully never had to deal with that... but I understand it happens, but damn, even I had a plan in case I ended up pregnant and knew I wouldn't be able to give my child the stability and strength that baby deserves in their mother. There are so many people who have fertility issues and would do anything to have children.. its heartbreaking when you see the way babies and children are mistreated by parents who are clearly more fertile than they are intelligent and empathetic.

I am a mom and would die or kill for my kids . Yet , I can’t say that this case is the same than all the others that you usually show on this channel. Many women have this sickness happening to them ( check Veronique Courjault) : hiding the pregnancies and not feeling connected to the baby once his born, killing them or letting them die and yet keeping the corpses. Letting them die is just like letting a piece of themselves out of their body . I am sure that this is a documented pathological issue and for once on this channel, I do not feel that she should’ve gotten life . I know it’s going to be a very unpopular comment. But I think she needs medical / psychological help. It might have to do with her past and it’s terrible for this little soul who endured 4 awful days of human existence but it still doesn’t strike me the same than all the brutal murders of children that we’ve seen on here . I don’t think there was anything rational about what she did and I don’t think she knows why she did what she did… anyway. It didn’t hit me the same way than the others . I wish she had spoken out and gotten psychological help

That was one of the most disturbing videos I’ve ever watched. The amount of torture that poor little newborn baby went through by not being fed & slowly starving to death. She would’ve screamed her little heart out while her mother was out enjoying herself having a good time with her boyfriend, the baby’s Dad who didn’t even know his daughter existed. That poor nameless defenceless little baby that her selfish bitch of a mother didn’t want, but didn’t want anyone else to have.
I hope the mother cops hell in prison for what she did, cos other inmates don’t take too kindly to baby killers.

Jessica just wants her mom?? Ironically, so did Jessica’s baby. The “clear stuff” is packed full of nutrients and antibodies the baby needs in the first few days. Without nursing, there is no stimulus to start producing milk. Instead of milk magically showing up on its own, her body was likely actively drying up since there was no demand for it. The process was completely normal, but she interpreted it as, “Well, I guess she just wasn’t meant to live.” I can’t make up my mind if she was really that stupid or if she was looking for excuses.
