If you're struggling to make a big decision, WATCH THIS.

If im struggling with making a decision it is because i cant answer the question if it expands or shrink me... i cannot see the future, so if my feelings are dependend on knowing what will come i would not be in this situation...

You need to think things through and make choices.

The decision i couldn't make was whether navy blue or black glasses would be best for me, it sounds insignificant but i constantly have this issue when it comes to making decisions, ill constantly go back and forth and never come to one. So i searched "watch this if you are unable to make decisions" and the first thing i see is you sitting there with black glasses 😄🤷‍♀️

The decision makes no difference! What you do after.... if you give everything you can, to make the decision turn out good, than everything is fine! In a Moment of joice, you only go through emotions. That has nothing to do with the decision ! And in the end, you make a snap decision! But the emotions must be! Nothing will go wrong, if you give everything in youre decision after you decide.... no mater what you decide, it will turn great!

This is good advice, but I know from experience that the heart and soul are truly two separate entities. It's possible for something to stimulate your heart in a good way, while simultaneously impeding your soul in a bad way. Rare, but possible. What you said is very insightful tho, good video.

As I face leaving my spouse and moving away, thank you - I needed this.

What if my heart tells me to run away from a situation but running away seems to be the easy path and doesn’t expand my growth/future? I’m in a dilemma. I know if I can overcome the situation I’ll become more confident but I’m scared to try. Please give some advice.

Thank you Mel. This principle is sound, it seems to me, but needs to be nuanced a bit. Between contractive and expansive there are degrees, and at time the only possible decisions before us might be only one of a degree or two in the right direction. In other words, the journey from contracted to expanded might require multiple steps over time. There is also the reality of compromise that parents have to make for the sake of their families and children.

I've watched this twice in one hour. And I don't know about using my heart but actually the questions you propose are very logical, big risk vs staying silenced and shrunken. The risk of big time fail and difficulty is always preferable to me than shrinking and ever be silenced again. I spent 27 years of my life being agreeable and understanding and shrinkin and despite it all one day a freaking psycho played a smear campaign on me and everybody turned against me. Ever since then, after I decided not to kill myself I also decided that no one would ever silence me or corner me if people were to hate me, it would for things I did and said and not for things I didn't do or say.Thanks Mel, thanks so much!

OK, so, answer me this. My partner of 21 years died 2 1/2 years ago. In the interim, all my closest friends moved to other states. Friends and family are pulling me in all direction to move closer to them.I contemplated moving within my state (to another city) but was so overcome with anxiety I just decided to stay put. I'm 72 years old, gay,and am paralyzed in what to do so doing nothing seemed the safest thing to do. but even now I know that's not going to satisfy me. How the hell do I get unstuck????

Loved your video - great advice, thanks Mel! I feel like I'm going insane. I need to relocate but I'm scared. My adult son is so terrified he's ready to have us stay in this area. We been on the same street for over 3.5 years. We both been unhappy and depressed. I'm sick and tired of this entire NOLA area. I scared to move but can't stand the thought of staying (the same old same old, over and over again). We can't decide where to move to - Dallas, TX, Columbus, Ohio, Pittsburg, PA, Las Vegas, Nevada or other place. I can't stop worrying. We both fear homelessness. Any advice please? On top of everything else we have a cat (1 year old) we know we probably can't take with. We are worried about the cat also.

How do I know what my heart and soul wants though :(

What if what's with my heart goes against my brain

Thank you for this.. I seldom seek advice but am going through a really hard time in a relationship with children involved. I’ve been putting everyone else’s needs before my happiness for long time and I know I need a change. I’ve been making the mistake of looking outward and it’s made me focus on everyone else’s judgment rather that following my heart. My brain has convinced me the world is watching but it’s really not.. nobody cares. That false fear & self deception is enough to make the strongest person lock up in anxiety. So yes, thank you for your guidance. I refuse to look back in 30 years with regrets and sadness. It’s time to live!

Having a baby at 43 shrinks me and all my multiple businesses and everything I've worked for. Abortion is the way to go then . .. I wish it was so easy. I will be held back if I have a baby . But that doesn't mean it's the right decision. I dunno. I'm here because this is what I'm faced with right now. Either way I expand. I add a kid and shrink the business and shrink moving to my happy place Florida. Living in retirement on a sailboat in less than two years that I had planned perfectly. Or I add to my already large enough family. I don't want this pregnancy but I don't want to face myself with my own ethical morals . And I'll shrink morally . This is not so cut and dry sadly

You can still ask those questions and answer them from the head though. Could still be wrong. Ask them with your heart.
