Thank you. Just one question, for which I have sought answers for years. What kinds of persons were the writers of the Bible., who claimed to have recorded God's own Words and supernatural events.. Unless they were deliberately trying to deceive us, which I don't think they were, why would they go to such lengths to create these accounts and myths and claim they were facts? How does Dr. Ehrman deal with many Christians having inner experiences of God, experiences powerful enough to die for? How does he deal with the mystical experiences of people of other religions? How does he deal with dying people experiencing angels or dead loved ones coming to greet them and having experiences of deep love and peace?

I would have to respectfully disagree with Dr Ehrman's assumption that anyone crucified would have to sit dead on the cross for weeks. While this may be true for specific individuals, i doubt it was true for all. If that were true, no one would have believed the resurrection story back then. They actually lived in those times, and didnt see a problem with him being taken down after death.
