This video is damage control. He knows he is "Scouse not English" and that's fine, that's how he feels, but he forgot that the people who root for him aren't just from his neck of the woods. He also realized that he's on cards with other "Englishmen". That's why he has started saying "my fellow Englishmen". He was happy Spain won because he doesn't like the England football team and that's generally where "Scouse not English" stems from, mainly sport.
