Not serious problems! 👍
ОтветитьVery informative video and as a 2018 owner where Jaguar had sorted all these issues I was very pleased they had listened to owners and experts and acted on it. My car is superb and anyone looking to buy one (if you can) will find that it is a cracking sports car and will be sadly missed after they misguidedly axe it from the range this year… get one while you can!
ОтветитьA minute and 40 seconds before point #1. Why?
Ответитьcan you fit a golf bag in the back?
ОтветитьHands up, who thought that squeak was cute 😂😂😂
ОтветитьHi, we are looking to purchase an f type 2018 post face lift. We have discussed (with dealer) the issue you mentioned with water entering via the bonnet vent into injectors. They can't seem to find the part to repair. Can you either confirm it's been sorted on this model, or else where we can obtain the part to solve the problem, please.
Jamie
I own a 2016 base model. It has the hood vents directly above the engine as you stated. Is there any particular remedy to avoid any harming to the engine?
ОтветитьGreat video - what would you say is the year of F-Type that many of these problems have been fixed by the manufacturer?
ОтветитьSo
I just wanted to say that this ac car does not even close sound like the car in real life
I have a 2013 and its perfect but serviced properly low milage and mean. Your video was really good and helpful thanks
Ответитьthat button stickiness is due to the particular solvents used to clean the vehicle i would assume also
ОтветитьThank you so much for putting this together man - super helpful!
ОтветитьThe only problem I have with mine is that I can’t seem to reach the advertised max speed of 200 mph!
ОтветитьHey bro, I don’t normally comment on videos but I have to say, this video is extremely helpful. I’m currently in the market and is considering buying a 2018 f type r and this was tremendous. You took the time to even show clips of the actual issues happening like the squeak on the exhaust valve and a pic of the supercharger “knock” part.
Very comprehensive and I look forward to the rest of your content. Subscribed.
I’m thinking of buying a second hand entry level f type. Should I be looking at the pre 2018 model 3.0 v6 or the post 2018 model 2.0 turbocharged.
ОтветитьI'm starting to look for a 3ltr V6, would you suggest a 2017 or newer?
ОтветитьOn my exhaust, its like a tinging whispy sound when I make my way up to 30, then the noise gets quieter from the exhaust area? Any idea S model
Ответить💪💪💪😌
ОтветитьI really appreciate your insight and honesty. People tend to be biased towards their cars and often overlook their fair share of deficiencies. I'm mechanically inclined and have always worked on my cars to the best of my ability. I've always wanted a V8 sports car but I just could never find the appeal to common sights like mustangs, chargers, and Camaros. Plus the obvious increased cost of ownership compared to an economy vehicle. However, when I discovered that Jaguar had a V8 sports car I instantly fell in love with it. The style, the powertrain, and that impeccable exhaust note. To me I needed all of those things to bring me to the fence of buying one. This video really gave me some piece of mind that these vehicles are not all bad and headaches they are sought to be. To me this car is well worth the cost and maintenance. Hopefully the market calms down a bit and I can find one at a good price soon.
ОтветитьAt what point did they face lift the F type, and what exactly was changed?
It’s going to have to be a V8 for me, are there any known engine problems?
One of best car reviews I have seen for awhile..thanks
ОтветитьDude you're doing the job, nice guide !
Ответить🛸 Space ship 🌎
ОтветитьThank you for the great video. I have an XE 35t which is such a wonderfully fun car, but it has me pondering adding an F-type. Well done, mate.
ОтветитьNew model in 2024?
Ответитьwell, shockingly informative and well put together, thank you
ОтветитьThank you. I'm considering getting an F-type.
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks! I'll be looking at one of these here in the US next weekend. I owned a Jag XJ6 when I lived in West Germany in the 1980s. Loved that car. I'm looking forward to owning a 2015 F-Type R soon.
ОтветитьThis is an excellent video full of relevant information as I am currently looking for a good secondhand F-type. The bonnet vents on the earlier model which let in water, might mean I start looking at the revised facelift models, thank you for posting this MrGB.
ОтветитьWhat year is that jag?
ОтветитьI am looking for my first F-Type and went to a Jag garage yesterday to view a 2015 3.0. It looked a bit ropey but on starting and leaving revs come down I heard the tell-tale signs of a mouse squeaking away from the exhaust. I walked away and found a much better 3.0 S at an independent. But thank you for this video. My child like nature of these things would have me not notice things like that. 👍
ОтветитьJust wrote you a couple of questions on Instagram.
ОтветитьIllegaly spaced reg plate I see, don't forget it's 2 strikes and your out. DVLA take the plate from you no matter how much you paid for it and stick you with a Q plate you can't change ever. I'm not an expert but read this when the rules changed a few years ago. I'm sure you know that a Q plate renders your car worthless, you'll never convince anybody it's not a cut & shut or been an insurance write-off. Would be worth your while checking up.
ОтветитьThank you 🙏
Ответитьhi to add to this i have a problem with a warning lamp showing active dynamic stability fault, also spoiler not available. i believe it's something to do with a height sensor. Alo i have had all injectors replaced due the problem you had pointed out.due to water ingress. Thanks for a very informative video.
ОтветитьMany thanks for this enjoyable, and suprisingly minimal need for concerns confirmation video. I too have heard talk about Jaguars being unreliable, which I struggled to believe, considering its rich history. Subscribed, nice one😁
ОтветитьAll those problems so predictable. Designers at Jaguar need a good kick up the ass.
ОтветитьVery helpful video! Keep up the good content!
ОтветитьCall me old fashioned but the fact I had no sound from 1.45 into this made it more unhelpful than helpful.
I liked and subscribed and had no sound. WTF 🤷♂️
Thanks for this, Looking at a 2017 F Type V6 SC AWD model with only 31,000 miles on it. Seems to be pristine, but I will go over a few more things before purchasing. But I'm hoping its more reliable and easier to maintain then my 2001 DB7 V12
ОтветитьAll just a minor inconvenience.
ОтветитьI was told by a Jaguar mechanic here in Los Angeles the XK's had better build quality and fit and finish than the F-Type and they're easier to work on.
ОтветитьI'm watching from the U.S., can you tell us why British cars are so unreliable? Something going on during the manufacutring process or unskilled labor?
Ответитьa lot of these seem to be fixed on newer models??
ОтветитьGreat Video ,, I’ve noticed most of these issues in the old F type vehicles I wanted to buy 👍🏼
ОтветитьChanged mine for a Lexus LC500, much better build quality
ОтветитьI had a 2015 V8 R AWD and drove it for almost 3 years. I had only a problem with GPS module. They replaced it, without any problems.
ОтветитьExcellent video. Very useful.
ОтветитьThis was so depressing as I always wanted a Jag F type but not being mechanically inclined, it looks like it won't happen since I'm 59 now. I can certainly swing for one financially but not patient enough to have to deal with constant worry and issues for the remainder of my driving life. They are beautiful and as an artist, I have always loved their styling. They are a sight to behold. Thanks for the video though and well done!
ОтветитьPlease do not beg fit money
