The health benefits of the sauna is eroded by the particulate matter emitted from a wood-burning fire.
ОтветитьInspirational video, beautiful sauna and setting! I’d invest in a ladle and bucket as was mentioned in other comments. The benefit being that the ladle allows you to portion out water to control the intensity of löyly - half scoop, full scoop, etc. because the effect isn’t instant, knowing what amount of löyly a scoop produces makes for a comfortable sauna experience, in my Finnish opinion :)
ОтветитьDis nejm is nått. Sana....dis nejm is....sauuuuuna..rimember. fellov......
ОтветитьThat is not classic Finnish .. they are not insulated … and they have no floor !
ОтветитьFew notes from a Finn. The heater in the sauna is called "kiuas" and the steam that the kiuas makes, when you throw the water at it, is called "löyly". 😅
ОтветитьAwesome Job - Those footers....will outlast civilization lol
ОтветитьI was beginning to think I was the only beginner builder that wears shorts and is barefoot most of the time. :-) I worked on the roof of my chicken coop barefoot and a couple people commented on a social media post I had made on how un-safe it was. But the grip of y feet on a roof is better than tennis shoes I found. Love the build, very inspiring.
ОтветитьWow! Amazing! ❤
ОтветитьDid you ever do a second video??? I'd love to see how this turned out.
ОтветитьKuuma means hot on Finnish :)
Ответитьpublic health "officials" dont want you healthy
ОтветитьThis is such a badass video. Not that I don’t love his regular content, but this is a beautiful change of pace from his usual content.
ОтветитьWhats the drain and waterproofing on the ground detail? I didnt see that in the video?
ОтветитьDo the windows steam up?
ОтветитьYou should never put essential oils on the rocks FYI
ОтветитьJust build the thing and stop talking
Ответить“Public health officials forced my hand”. Haha, story of my life last 4 years
Ответитьawesome, well done!
ОтветитьIdk how u or ur neighbors live with that rooster noise.
ОтветитьPlease link the next video of the internal fit out
Ответить@highintensityhealth great video! Did you ever make part two?
ОтветитьOk Team so where is part 2???
ОтветитьNobody in continental Europe would use a bottle to pour water with essential oils onto hot rocks. It’s too dangerous and you run the risk of a second degree burn. One would use a wooden ladle and then pour from the farthest to nearest in order to not be burned by hot steam.
ОтветитьMike - Im local in washington and Im wondering which glass company you used to get that plate glass. Im going to start my sauna project next month! Cant wait!!!
ОтветитьWhere's part 2?? Lol can you link in descrip?
Ответитьi cant find the follow up video :(
ОтветитьHow did you insulate the Sauna? And make it so that the insulation wouldn't get mold or anything like that??
ОтветитьOff-grid? You live in Kirklan
ОтветитьI apologize if I missed it, but did you post the dimensions anywhere?
Ответить$8k!? Howwwww!?
ОтветитьCould someone tag me in part two? I can't find it .
ОтветитьPart 3?
ОтветитьWe probably shouldn’t gloss over the “health authorities” shutting down saunas during a “pandemic” (among other proven health treatments). Do you still really believe those people have your best interest in mind?
There should be a sauna in every home, gardens in every backyard… if health is really a concern - why don’t they push for healthy lifestyle?
Thank you for the informative video! Hope more people watch and learn!
Where is the second video?
ОтветитьWhere’s part 2. Can’t find it???
ОтветитьI watched this a while back, still can’t find the link to the 3rd video of inside and venting. Did that ever happen?
ОтветитьCode in BC doesn’t allow the use of Screws for structural uses. They have no shear strength. Must be nails
ОтветитьHave you done much research into the carcinogenic effects of combustion based heat? I love wood burning stove/fireplace but there’s a lot of research coming out showing how harmful those heat sources are.
ОтветитьDamn, I learned something new. I love when old men teach they are such a wealth of knowledge. Thank you I am starting my build this month.
ОтветитьI'm a subscriber to your channel for heath reasons, but as someone who loves wood working and who does all of my own repairs\remodeling, I've love to see more videos along those lines too lol.
ОтветитьHello Mike, great intro video to building a sauna, looking forward to the conclusion (2nd video) is it released yet ? Could you send me the link? I looked through many many many videos of yours and haven’t been able to find the follow up video.
Best Justin
Is there a part II?
Ответитьimagine the Finnish hearing "make sure you can measure 1/16th of an inch" 😂😂😂 one day US... we'll make it to the metric system... maybe after we reinstate abortion rights
ОтветитьHow do I find Part 2?
ОтветитьLooking forward to the next vid! Any timeline for when it'll be out?
ОтветитьWhere's part 2? Thanks
ОтветитьWhere’s the second video!?
ОтветитьNot trying to be critical, this looks like an awesome built, but you can build a sauna far simpler. Saunas don't need insulation, they don't need moisture barriers; in fact, these things can work against their longevity. Leave airgaps to enable the wood to dry out after use and simply rely on the wood to provide insulation, and your sauna will never rot or develop mould. In Finland and other Nordic countries, saunas are frequently just simple wooden shacks with a slatted floor and a large stove.
ОтветитьBudget? Hardly😂. Goodjob👍
Ответитьlooking forward to part 2! Im sure the footage just needs to be edited!
