One thing that i loved about the Dr. Gero saga is that it was scary.

This begs the question

Why didn't Android 17 and 18 rule Earth like King Piccolo, and eventually the Galaxy like Frieza ?

I mean they were already stronger than Frieza.... probably Buu would've been a threat

Dr. Gero did a huge mistake being cocky and openly threatening these dangerous and evil robots. He should have acted smartly.

when people say the future timeline feels like a horror movie, I agree. Because it damn well it feels like one. even the goofy Looking Dr Gero and his funny looking lab have an erie sort of feeling. it all feels... so empty. so quiet. and for what reason? I Have no Clue.

For all his genius gero was a fool he gave his creations more power and better body than his own

If gero is so smart why wouldn’t he internalize a way to destroy the androids. Or atleast make himself stronger.

Why is gero dressed the same as he was when he was an android if its the future timeline

I wonder what the outcome of the story would be had toriyama sticked with his original plan to have androids 19 and 20 as the ones from trunks future or even 17 and 18 before cell became a concept, that would have been interesting what if story.

Well if you think about it, the real perpetrator was Dr Gero. I'll tell you why, when Goku died due to the heart virus, Dr. Gero reprogrammed androids 17 and 18 to dominate the world instead of k*lling Goku, because there was no need once he perished, but here's the catch, because the androids were rebellious, they couldn't simply change the programming they had, they only bent the logic of said program to something approximate to conquering the world, which in this case was to destroy humanity.

In a way, they were victims too, bound to Dr. Gero's programming and will, that's why they were evil. If it wasn't for that new reprogram, I'm sure those androids would be just like their main timeline counterparts. That's why, it was necessary for Goku to be alive.

17 and 18 forgot to destroy the capsule that has Cell's embryo. If it gets destroyed, then the most threatening saga of DBZ will not happen.

A shame, I would’ve loved to have seen Dr. Gero survive and see his dark ambitions become a reality.

That's the thing gero wanted Goku to be killed and he got his wish because Goku die with a heart virus. But even with that the Androids killed gero so all the hard work was the waste of effort of getting his revenge.

Why didnt gero just make himself a stronger android
