Not sure how this came into my feed but it’s crazy that in 2024 people still don’t understand what it means to be transgender and are buying into all the misinformation and fear mongering being stoked. Transgender people are human beings who deserve to be treated as such. Please have compassion, educate yourself and let them live their lives the way they want to. You can’t pick up a pencil and write with your breast tissue or with your genitals. I don’t understand why people love to use incoherent arguments for the trans debate. Yes it’s delusional to believe I am a boy trapped in a girls body. I never thought that way. I always knew I wanted to feel free in expressing myself in that way. That’s what I would say at 10 years old, “I want to be a boy”. It’s a fundamental problem in my psyche. It’s not natural to be that way, I always knew I wasn’t like most others. It’s one thing to believe you’re an amputee in a fully functioning body and another to live and walk the world in a way that causes extreme hopelessness and depression. Amputating a fully functional arm when it’s not necessary is ridiculous, guess what so is giving a person hormones just because they say they have a feeling. Anorexic people feel fat. No one is saying they don’t believe it’s possible to feel that way. They are working with those feelings to heal them. Same thing applies here.
