Glory to God. Amazing ✝️🙏🏼 Being a Born Again Christian (but not Catholic) I do love his music 🎶 and how he used his gift to praise God.

It's very sad to me that his music is not played on the radio and on television. How can one feel anything but joy when listening to Bach.

Bach did not come out of nothing. There are fabulous composers who preceded him including members of his own family and geniuses like Buxtehude, Froberger, Frescobaldi, and the French clavicinistes.

I´m an atheist.. and have listen to Bach literally thousands of hours! His works are quite well familiar to me, especially "The Well Tempered Clavier".. I could live without his music but with less bliss!

The first time I encountered Bach was singing the Magnificat in high school choir. We sang 2 or 3 movements of it. I LOVED it.

Bach always gives room to feel you are now in a dialogue with….existential matters;” _is he kidding?!?_. He cannot utter, “GOD”?!?!? If he’s supposedly an expert on Bach, he’s chose the wrong subject!! It wouldn’t be easy to find anything to sing OR play without “GOD” being in the title or the intention that you are communing with Him, asking Him for guidance, bewailing our sins and faithlessness….Jesus, tell us what this man is afraid of, lmao??

In some part of the documentary it is said that Bach created such a great music because he Washington a man of faith. However I think he created the music that we know because he was a man with a unique talent. There are many religious musicians that Will never get Bach talent

Very nice documentary. I didn't know about the Bachfest Leipzig and just decided I will travel there and partake in one of those wonderful festivals, like a kind of pilgrimage every true lover of JSB has to do once in his life.

I fell in love with Bach as a teenager. I remember precisely when--I was flipping through channels when I was 13, bored, and then landed on this public broadcast channel. The first movement of Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 was playing with these ethereal anime paintings shown on the screen. I was discovering anime at the time, so I stopped to view the paintings. But soon the music really caught my fancy and my attention was drawn to that rather than the visuals. I was totally struck at how wonderfully sonorous and beautiful it was--like the finest balance of melody, harmony and chords coming together. Nothing more or nothing less. I then vowed to procure a CD of the Brandenburg Concertos. And I've been completely hooked ever since.

How happy I am to be watching this documentary. It's great to touch people's souls like this, congratulations to the creators, congratulations on rescuing this immense legacy! And let us follow Bach, let us follow the voices of the perfect sonances of love and the virtues of harmony.
