as someone who raises chickens this just depresses me. No animal should lead a life like this. My chickens are happy healthy come to me when called or when they see me pull up. We dont plan on eating these ones but if we ever raise meat birds they deserve a life with dignity. The best food, grass, sun and only 1 bad day. Happy im growing and raising my own food now.

This is outrageous behaviour. While people are trying g to give all animals a better life some fool comes along with this idea . These chickens haven't seen a single blade of grass in their lives. Nobody approves of the horribly short and cramped lives these birds have to live, but giving them longer lives and decent places to roam would cost way too much money to warrant doing it.
This factory life for chickens is the way it is because people keep purchasing chicken. Unless the public demand for chicken were to vanish by 80% there’s just no way to give them time-and-money consuming better treatment. It’s very sad but there’s realistically nothing to be done about it.
