Black Series from Obi-Wan show

The rubies supreme is from the old Don Post line. Don Post used an Empire Strikes Back stunt helmet for their molds. This is evident in the cheeks. They have a slightly raised area. This is because the screen used props cheeks were cut out and replaced with small windows so the stunt man could see during the lightsaber duel with Luke. They used injection molding for the classic action which was made from Vinyl. Over time the DP molds warped or had to be repaired. When Rubies acquired the license they used what was left to create the hand laid fiberglass helmet and PVC injection molded helmet. That's why the neck is flaired out and the face has other imperfections including the slightly raised cheek area.

If you can get an EFX off of Sideshow (they pre-order ones for ~350) you’d have an accurate ANH helmet and if you raise the dome you have an accurate R1 helmet

Why they dont make smaller one

Ill be hoenst, i dont like the red lenses, the black ones just feel more soulless and void of light, it suits Vaders personality better with his ruthlessness and seemingly endless hatred

The rubies looks way better than the black series. While both helmets aren’t really as nice as the Don Post deluxe, classic action or the efx pcr helmets, the costume put together with supreme will always look better. The black series looks cool taken apart but the face mask is too wide and the dome is the wrong shape. Looks too much like an Altman helmet.

Are vaders shades red in obi wan?? I have the Hasbro helmet. All the black series helmets are great. Definitely recommend them if you start a collection

Rubies supreme looks really good for a new hope. But I would probably go for the regular black series. Looks better than both of them in my opinion
