I think people are exaggerating about the controls, I mean it's not really that bad, maybe in the beginning is kinda tricky, but once you get used to it, it's not a problem. I actually never had a problem with the controls. Besides that, Super Mario 64 DS is a very good remake, and it's objectively better than the original Super Mario 64 in all aspects, although I still prefer the original one

This was my very first Mario game and it is still really holds up in my opinion. I never played the original but maybe I will in the future.

Well it does the total opposite as super mario oddessys gimmik of cappy because in sm64ds you are the player being possesed by the hat turning you into that character and in super mario oddessy you possess your enemies and turn into them not getting possessed by a hat

I hate that this game feels underrated

I do think this is the definitive version of Super Mario 64. And I grew on the original.

I love how its content got recycled in later DS games.

The minigames came back in New Super Mario Bros

I still just absolutely HATE this games swinging camera as it never gives me pin point accuracy.
