I like this first step and I think that there are many benefits to asking someone about what they believe. They will feel heard if you listen. Also, it will cause them to think about what they really believe and why. 👍
ОтветитьWould you please consider not having background music for such presentations? The music is distracting. Thank you.
Ответитьexcellent video, I have literally heard people say that the only purpose to evangelism is to get people to confess Christ, to me that is like telling someone that the only reason to go out to your garden is to pull up fresh vegetables (if that's what a person thinks then good luck finding anything edible in that garden). keep up the good work, .. and hang in there : )
Ответитьthis is all well and good, entirely well and good, but most highly misleading. Verbal tactics are essential, but you have to get there first. The number one factor in 99% of real life situations is your personal behaviour and standards for dealing with people - that is an 'always on' witness, and the veracity and value of your word is something which is overwhelmingly judged by your life.
ОтветитьAsking questions as a response to any resistance is a marketing trick, even car salesmen have learned how to do this effectively. What is wrong with just answering the question? Is it lack of knowledge of the subject? Do you feel the need to answer with a question to hide your own ignorance or to use this tactic to persuade as you recruit? What is wrong with responding with simple honesty? By simply stating, "I don't know" at least shows the questioner that you are an honest believer in God and not the con man that some people perceive. (I only used an upper case G in god out of respect to the reader who believes.) There are hundreds of questions the bible presents without answers. The one fall back response is, "And this is where faith comes in." I am not stating whether I believe or not. I just want to see a religious spokesperson inspire more, do more, learn more and become more............humbly.
ОтветитьWhat is the gospel, to be shared?
ОтветитьA good point. Many theists have made astonishingly poor assumptions when questioning me about my atheism
ОтветитьHonestly sometimes you may not have that time to ask much questions, especially when open Air preaching you may only have a few minute window of opportunity. Not everyone will be considerate or be patient with much questions and that can spark hostility and good chance will close their ears and shut themselves down from any further dialogue… but yes this is a great way to establish a connection if you are doing one on one evangelism
ОтветитьMe: If heaven and hell didn't exist, nobody would care about god.
Koukl: What do you mean by that?
Me: Really? You want me to explain something this simple to understand?
Diagnostic questioning is beneficial to start from. Yet, risk is part of the process of telling the absolute truth. Christ Himself always did this and they crucified Him for it. Telling the truth will always make more than one person angry! Always! Then scripture tells us: Indeed all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus, will be persecuted. ( 2 Timothy 3:12 ) Part of that Godly living is telling the truth always and prostilizing the gospel good news! Christ's final command was this: and you shall be My witnesses: witnesses here is the Greek word Martus in the original text. This is where we derive our modern day word martyr from. So in the command of Christ to be His witnesses is our readiness to die for the obedience to carry this out in our lives! Then we are to witness of Christ in our Jerusalem- our neighborhood, and in all of our Judea- our near, and in our Samaria - Our neglected, and to our uttermost- our next.
ОтветитьI always wonder why Calvinists even bother with evangelism since their doctrines states that God has preordained, predestined and decreed EVERYTHING because they believe man does not have freewill? Think about this, as per reformed theology, man does not have freewill, so how can they choose to be saved since they have no freewill to choose? Or do they think man can actually 'choose'? It's called cognitive dissonance. Or is it one of those answer these Calvinists always give when they can't use scriptures to prove their point, "ITS A MYSTERY!! It's wasn't for me when I was saved nearly forty years ago and received profound healing from a myriad of addictions. I just cried out to Jesus and He saved me! His love is so indescribable that just 5 seconds under it can change your life forever! REPENT AND SAY YES TO JESUS. You don't need a degree in theology to share the gospel, you just need to truly love and care about people, they'll know your sincerity.
ОтветитьThere's no such thing as "low risk" way of sharing the Gospel.
Ответитьthanks Coach ! realy thank you for your guidance my Brother.
ОтветитьI don't like to waste my time playing games. I say, can I share the message of salvation with you. If they say yes and are open, then great. If they want to argue and refute. Then I say, have a good day and move on, in search for seekers!
Far too much time is wasted on those that just want to argue, and try to prove you wrong.
What question I have asked is, “do you think you deserve to go to heaven?” You get a lot of information from peoples answer. I have been told it's a trick question. The answers I get a very interesting. The follow up question, “I want basis do you think that?” Also gets interesting answers
ОтветитьGreg's tactics are fully consistent with interviewing best practices I've learned over the course of 35 years of professional training. I can easily see how they are very likely effective. Looking forward to using them. Of course, the most important thing is the Biblical and respectful way that you should relate to people - even if they are surly or unkind. Jesus let the religious hypocrites have it and was firm and direct with everyone. But it was all love. It was all what they needed to hear. Our default approach must be kindness, respect and a quest for the truth.
ОтветитьYou should have videos of you going into the streets like Ray Comfort does to believe that your advice works.
ОтветитьLooove this
Ответить"Get them to sign on the dotted line" ugh... did you pick this up from a used car salesman? This can be seen (maybe hard not to be seen) as insulting, so why talk like this to, or about, those you want to win over? I'm an ex church goer and this sort of offensive, superior attitude is one reason I'm glad to be done with the church.
I'm curious how many bright-eyed believers go out there into the actual world based on stuff like this and in the dialog get absolutely THRASHED by a well-read unbeliever. Not necessarily an atheist, just someone who isn't buying what they're selling.
Why should sharing The Gospel ever be "low risk", in the first place? Perhaps we should look at that first.
ОтветитьThanks❤️
