I was wondering what had happened to it. I am Brazilian so I didn't really get the whole animation background but sometime between 2012 and 2016 some big Brazilian gaming channels had the Machinima logo in the beginning of their videos, and then they stopped. It's nice to know the history
ОтветитьThe noob adventures omg
Ответитьholy shit the RedLetterMedia guys started out on Machinima?? I never knew
ОтветитьI can see this happening to rooster teeth by WB very soon unfortunately...
ОтветитьI only ever went to Machinima for The Super Best Friends Play. Also, Siege, Earthrise, Kingdom, and Legacy are all doing good, so is the Studio Series '86. I may have a problem. 😁
ОтветитьMachinema videos, the genre, were super important for the development of art in the 21st century. Your recap of that era was clearly well-researched and IMO accurate.
I would have loved to see this analysis go a different direction where you talked about machinema, the art form. There is so much to discuss in regards to its influence on the videos created for YT, or the internet in general.
I wish I was around in the Early 2000’s to experience the early internet in all of its greatness.
ОтветитьRest in piss
ОтветитьI knew and worked with several creators that used to make content for this website.. network… thing… as a set builder for halo machinimas. The fall of machinima was a long time coming, and one could see the leaks in that ship as early as 2009. Rip in pieces, machinima. You hurt my friends.
ОтветитьThe N00b Adventures (that 2D Minecraft animation series) was freaking awesome.
ОтветитьI think I probably watched the Minecraft cartoon religiously when I was in middle school as well, but nowadays my brain has rotted to the point where I probably don’t even understand what Minecraft is.
ОтветитьYep, another something interesting that was bought and killed off.
ОтветитьI just have to say I'm obsessed with the intro to these
ОтветитьAhh thankyou for finally solving a mystery from my childhood! I loved watching machinama shows as a kid, but I remember them all (aside from rvb thank god) just disappearing into thin air
ОтветитьThe subtitles change hot takes to hot eggs
ОтветитьYay that's me! I made a lot of the content you didn't want!
Big fan btw
another banger from monsieur quinton. also appreciate the rvb shout out
ОтветитьHoly crap you know PHEALOUS!!!!!🤩
Saw in 2019
the only media i miss from machinima was machinima respawn inbox with mr. sark and apl. that shit was hilarious.
Ответитьthe mayans predicted the cannibalism of the content creators in the 00s internet by the corporatism in the 10s internet
ОтветитьI liked the All Your History about Command & Conquer
ОтветитьIt's friggin' Scarlet Fire
ОтветитьQuentin reviews why do you love to hate everything I'll help you with that problem you clearly have a problem with that
ОтветитьMan, I love the Combiner Wars toyline...
Ответитьmanslayer is the only good thing to come out of machinima
ОтветитьDang, I would've thought Quinton had seen rvb in the ancient times like the rest of the us that are decaying
ОтветитьAs someone who is both many people and one big person,
S’alright
His name is Michael Burns, he goes by Burnie because that's his last name but im sure you've got a million others telling you that.
ОтветитьMachinima really reminds me of the fall of G4 they both really lost their way and kept trying to rebrand and try too much new stuff that didn't fit the original brand
ОтветитьYeah I was wondering where all their videos went
ОтветитьHey, awesome. I'm an SM64 machinamist and inspired by SMG4
ОтветитьPeople never talk about ETC/Internet Today when talking about Machinima. Ricky and Elliot where there until the very end holding it down! and they continue to create fantastic content to this day on the Internet Today channel.
Ответитьi'd kill to see an unfallen titan on jerma after rewatching these vids
ОтветитьRed VS Blue was so great. I had the dvd of the first season, and watched it constantly as a 13 yo. Great humor.
ОтветитьWow. A lot of things have fallen, most recent it seems to be Channel Frederator. They haven’t posted anything after 2020, so yeah. Thinking of all these childhood channels just disappearing to nothing is insane. Wow. Just wow.
ОтветитьI really dislike how this video ended, just feels needlessly dickish to assert you don’t give a shit it died. Don’t get me wrong people had long moved on from Machinima but it was still a staple of many peoples early Internet days, for both creators and viewers. Knowing that entire channel that had a shot ton of my favourite videos and some incredibly creative videos just up and erased itself is kinda sad
ОтветитьI love machinma it feels like a dying art which is sad because they can be really creative. My favorite one is Smash King which is still going. I highly recommend that one.
ОтветитьKind of a shallow look into Machinima
ОтветитьNever had much to do with Machinima but I remember there were these videos with a Silent-Hill-esque storyline and played by TF2 characters that were uploaded on the Machinima channel. I think there were two or three parts of it, very well made horror videos that made me feel really uneasy and creeped out. But unfortunately soon after I discovered them they were gone, probay deleted from the Machinima channel and also not uploaded anywhere else.
Ответить*Burnie Burns. And no, his real name is Michael Burns but Burnie was a nickname from his highschool days.
ОтветитьYou should do a fallen titans episode on Fred
Ответить"Machinima..." *Lights cigarette*
"I haven't heard this name in years..."
