Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra - 1 Year Later! // Best Phone of 2023

I just got my iPhone 15 pro max 3 weeks ago but I still have my S22 Ultra as my secondary phone and I find myself gravitates more to my S22 the still camera is better in most conditions. The One UI is more pleasing to use than iOS. I have used iphone 5s, 8, 11 and 13 in the past but this is the only time I experienced a lot of glitches on an iPhone and I only own it for 3 weeks. The only reason I will keep it as my primary phone is because my wife and 2 kids are on iOS but if this phone pushes me to the limit I'll trade this to s24 ultra next year and sell my S22 ultra 😅

Just picked mine after upgrading from the s20 that I've been using for about 3 years. The weight and size were a big shock to me. Battery life is way better...

My S22 Ultra still works great!

I upgraded to this from my Note 10+. (I loved that device). This is a worthy successor. I suspect I'll have this for a few years as well

Foldables are ridiculous. I haven't found ANYTHING as good as the S23U since it came out. NOTHING! I bought this phone when they first were released, and it's been heads and shoulders better than anything released since. And while I did buy this to keep for a long time, with the GREAT tradein deals from Samsung, I might trade it in for the S24U IF it proves to be much better. But the bar has been set very high with this device.

Apple is so boring I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max and I literally feel like there’s no difference between the iPhone 13 Pro Max the iPhone X it’s all the same thing and I cannot wait to escape the Apple ecosystem. I’m painfully bored in my phone and Samsung and Google are the only companies really pushing phone innovation and if you love tech, we’re all dying a slow death with apple.

Uh okay. Couple things about this video. Why did you compare the S23U brightness to the OnePlus Open instead of the Pixel 8 Pro? The Pixel is way brighter and it isn't a foldable. Would have been a better comparison.

Second, just because it has a 5,000 mAh doesn't automatically make it good on battery. The Pixel 8 Pro also has that and its battery is terrible. It's more about the processor.

Lastly, no one uses wireless charging. Wired charging is where its at. Wireless charging turns to deteriorate the wireless charging turns to deteriorate wireless charging tends to deteriorate the battery faster.

The photos from the s23 ultra seem to be of a warmer temp compared to the iPhotos which I do prefer but the S23 some of the photos look less blown out at least from the few photos you've provided. I have the S23 ultra (had it since launch) and I love it. Feels soild and snappy. Debating on upgrading with the S24 ultra comes out if the go with a flat display and have a ti version. Idk been hearing they are taking away the 10x tele lens D:

Can't stand the S22/S23 Ultra design 😡. It's an ergonomic disaster. Returned my S22 Ultra after 2 weeks, longest I could, and got the S21 Ultra.

Bixby, it's a very dangerous app. I asked Bixby how to make bone broth. The response...b0mb making is risky and dangerous. I posted it for Samsung support on the forum. Their moderators left my post but took out Bixby's insane reckless response to a simple question. Nobody has addressed my issues, so I will keep posting, making endusers available of the Bixby law enforcement threat. Until Samsung addresses it. Users beware.

The S23U is not the best phone of 2023 the OnePlus Open is. The OnePlus Open is the best all around phone

I just got the S23 Ultra, Its a great phone but.... It has horrible security! I can see now why Iphone has a feature to ask to enter your password, every time you use the Apple store to download an app. How come Google does not have this!? I'm starting realizing Google is FUCKING TRASH, but I do not want to switch to Iphone.

Why hasn't any one come up with an idea for Android users to enter a command line like a PC. Where you could see your history of what app was opened at a certain time. Maybe catch a snoopy person, going through your phone installing god knows what. IDK why Google has not beefed up their security for Androids? But that is the main problem with Android phones, at least with the S23 Ultra.

Actually i already gave up with samsung. My Note 9 was a a bad one. This is my last bet an then I really love my s23 ultra. It is just best phone for me haha. I love android so much.

2 hours ago, I just sold my Samsung Note 10 Plus 5G. I can guarantee that my Phone has never slowed down since the day I got it. But I'm not too fond of the Curved display. Tempered Glass is a massive hassle. Fingerprint won't work for cheap ones. Removing the tempered glass is also a nightmare.

I would buy S24 ultra for my wife birthday.
I hope S24 ultra could take pictures in DSLR level specially for portrait such as Vivo X100 pro

thats one of the advantage of the z fold display tall aspect ratio. when you open it, the aspect ratio make the video or photos actually larger than the regular slab phone, not like the oneplus open or pixel fold...

By the way, the S24 line-up is rumored to have the new Samsung AI on-device, which afford several added conveniences like drafting your e-mails, AI-generated wallpapers, live translate calls and many more S24 exclusives leaked by reputable leakers. So I wouldn't say that the only upgrade from the S23 Ultra to the S24 Ultra is the titanium frame and flat screen. A little misleading to your viewers.

That said, I do agree that if you have the S23 Ultra now, there isn't a need to upgrade to the S24 Ultra unless you have a supreme interest in its AI features. I myself am holding onto the S21+ currently and I am waiting for the S24 Ultra.
