My 1st autos were Tom Seaver and Bud Harrelson of the 1969 Mets. They did a parade in my hometown. Huntington, NY. Nobody charged for autos back then

Sophia is beautiful. Roger Staubach schooled at US Naval academy, was an officer for 3 years then Cowboys QB for at least a couple Super Bowls with Tony Dorsey. Go 49ers!!!

Great pickups, my favorites were the Ichiro rookie cards. Congrats to Sophia for getting her first auto, such a great memory!

My first card show was early 1987. Tom Seaver, Ray Knight and Mike Scott signing there (also think Bud Harrelson for free). I raced past my father into the show (was supposed to be admission fee) and went right up to Tom Seaver for auto. Got from him immediate reply of “ticket, ticket?”. My father noticed and said something negative to Tom Seaver (while of course auto should not be expected for free, guess was the way he responded to a kid). Eventually my father paid for and got me Ray Knight auto….Spent all allowance on 1987 Topps baseball packs. (think I had seen some basketball card packs as well with 45¢ or so price tag 🤔)

Sad that number cards are valued at a buck these days, should be more then a dollar no matter the player 😉

Hope you had a great time! Love seeing the Astrodome in the opening frame! Sophia is a trooper! Next card show she goes to, I would suggest wearing tennis shoes! 😀Hope you both had fun and there was no drama! Maybe you both come back next year (JAN. 31 - FEB. 2, 2025) , and I can say hi! My first auto was Will Clark outside of the Stick back in ‘89. We also got Brett Butlers and Atlee Hamickers auto
