Could you please recommend a less expensive laser to cut shapes , letters and maybe etching on 1/4 -1/2 inch mdf or plywood? Ty
ОтветитьThe problem that I have with Atomstack (and various other companies) is that they lie outrageously about their laser power, advertising the power consumption of the unit rather than the optical output power (which is the only thing that is meaningful). Reputable companies (J-Tech Photonics and Gweike Cloud, for example) do not do this. Yes, Atomstack buries an optical output power deep in their text, but I wouldn't trust it to be accurate given how dishonest they are in the rest of their advertising (for example, 48W for the X40 MAX is *obvious* BS to anyone familiar with diode lasers). In my opinion, we should boycott all laser manufacturers that even mention the power consumption, given how much it misleads many buyers. And, I want to see them show the ACTUAL laser output power being measured with a power meter (again, J-Tech and Gweike Cloud do this).
ОтветитьUsed a Trotec 300 at work! Nice machine! All Fibre though, company didn't get the Flex Model that also offer the CO2 laser!
ОтветитьWanting to add custom leather patches as an option in my embroidery / silk screening shop what do you recommend for a laser cutter?
ОтветитьWhich one is best for glass engraving? I want to do beer mugs wine glasses shot glasses n ect.
ОтветитьWould a laser cutter cut aluminum or melt it. I need small pieces cleanly cut.
Ответитьvery nice
ОтветитьLooking at lasers. Thanks for all the info.
ОтветитьWhich will you recommend for jewelry? Not expensive please
ОтветитьYou're the go-to guy online who really seems to know his stuff about laser engravers/cutters—could you do a review on the LaserPecker LX1? My wife has a flower farm and sells from a cart in front of our house and at local events. She's always needing signage. The LX1 has a module into which you can insert a chalk marker—that could be awesome for us. I also think there will be times when I want to engrave text on wood for signage. Just want to make sure I'm not missing a cheaper alternative that could do the job just as well.
Ответитьquestion please as for the printer machine we know that it need for the ink , what about the laser machine do they need for some thing like that monthly or as need?
ОтветитьEpilog Zing is ok?
ОтветитьLooking for advice here. I need a laser cutter that can cut 1” foam (packing material) that is less than 7”x7”. If it could also efficiently cut .118” acrylic, that would be a huge +++! The cheaper and easier to use the better.
ОтветитьI know this video has a bit of age on it, but it was really informative for someone looking for a first laser. I'll definitely be checking out more on your channel.
ОтветитьThank you for this video as it helped me get started in the right direction. I just bought an AtomStack W30 which is perfect for my needs mostly for cutting light thin wood. However, if I had kids or pets around my shop, I would not get an open frame laser due to safety concerns even though the shroud on the AtomStack hangs very low and blocks the laser light nicely. I don’t have cable issues that some reviewers have reported because my cables hang off the edge of my work table and don’t get in the way. I also purchased the cutting honeycomb, proper eye protection (OD6+ orange), Lightburn, and waiting on a camera to be delivered. My first choice was the XTool 40watt, but mostly due to price I went with the AtomStack with no regrets. Diode lasers have advanced quickly over the last year and at this rate it looks like we’ll see higher wattage diodes performing on par or better with CO2 lasers very soon.
ОтветитьI'm afraid there might be a fire
ОтветитьI can’t find where to add the discount code for the Gweike Cloud.
Ответитьdoesn't the 40w co2 start like around 500 ?
ОтветитьOh yea, I used to work for a company that did precision laser cutting, drilling, skiving, micro-vias and occasionally engraving. We had machines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars range, even a few into a million dollar range. ESI was a brand, from China I believe, that we had that did UV lasers. Another was the Excellon Cobra which had both UV and CO2 in 1 machine so you could cut/skive/drill with one and do a finish pass with the other. Or a multilayer panel with different materials like copper and dielectric. Cool stuff. Have been thinking about getting a laser engraver for some product ideas I have
ОтветитьTimbers fan!
ОтветитьHi

ОтветитьWhat would be the best options for rubber stamp engraving in Europe? For 10 to 50 stamps per day.
ОтветитьThis was INSANELY helpful!
Ответитьwhat about software which software does your pick comes with? Does Atomstack comes with light burn?
ОтветитьI have the FoxAlien Masuter Pro, I have the 40W laser with it but thankfully they're super powerful giving a 10W output.. Not many others do that on a 40W..
Ответитьthank you so much for a great video. I have a question analytical I am confuse which laser cut is good for leathercraft. Please can you help me thanks
ОтветитьVery Helpful 😀😀😀 Thank you for making this video !!!!
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Do you have a recommendation for a mixed laser cutting machine that can cut 48”x36” pieces of wood and metal. I was looking at the StyleCNC models. Please send an affiliate link if you do. Thanks.
Ответитьso i downloaded the testfile and all the squares were burning at 100% is there some kind of adjustment i should have made first when i downloaded the file?
ОтветитьHi, your video’s are knowledgeable and helpful in making decisions regarding lasers. Can you do a comparison between your top choices and a Trotec? I haven’t found any comparisons or only one review.
ОтветитьSo, I’m a woman and I have a business where I do wood work but I am very much not electronic savvy. I have a scroll saw, table saw, miter saw, router, dremel, jig saw/ basically everything but a CNC machine. What work we do is resin art and wood work for home decor. What would be the best user friendly but cuts what we need? I’m wanting more of a wood cutter and not an engraver. Yes? That would be a plus, but I’m wanting to cut words/fonts out of wood and put it on other items to paint or resin. (ie- welcome sign). Clearly I don’t need 7k+ type machine so what would you suggest for someone that does my line of work at home?
ОтветитьAny feelings about Epilog
ОтветитьHi, love your videos. Can you recommend some budget diode machine for the genuine leather, engraving and maybe some cutting? Thanks in advance.
ОтветитьDoes the co2 need to be replenished? Is so how often?
ОтветитьHuh. Very Interesting.
ОтветитьHave you ever reviewed laserpecker?
ОтветитьBobby T Thanks for a very informative commentary. What about software
ОтветитьSomething that needs to be mentioned is that CO2 lasers wont engrave precious metals. The infrared module that x tool make will.
ОтветитьIm on the market for a budget friendly Co2 machine
ОтветитьIs it possible to cut epoxy resin with a CO2 laser cutter?
ОтветитьI build spring steel swords. they are about 30" long on average for the blades. Since this is hardened steel and I would like to engrave wording, runes etc... on the blades. What would you recommend? I am a newbie and this is a hobby, not a business so I am on a budget.
ОтветитьThank you! Very helpful!
ОтветитьIf I wanted a laser that engraves an image into acrylic In order to make molds for enamel pins...which laser would be best?
ОтветитьHi , I am new to your work shop, which I found very interesting, I have a question I might be able to find it if I go online do these devices run from a Mac sauce at all, This might seem a strange question but I’m thinking of trying to do something to keep myself busy as I am in my 70s I’m not sure whether I am capable of doing this at the moment I’m trying to find out a bit more about it.
Give me a piece of wood and I’ll make the chair a window or staircase out of it as this was my business when I was in business by myself back in the UK I’m now retired and living in France I still have some of my machinery looking to do some smaller work if possible to keep myself active, And a friend of mine who lives in the states called Shady acres workshop is a wood turner and he has just recently purchased a laser engraving machine and we’ve been chatting online about this, PHIL FROM THE MOULIN FRANCE
please use stupider soundtrack. this one is not stupid enough.
ОтветитьGreat video was looking at getting the xtools d1 pro and using your code though sadly only works if living in the US. As I live in uk you code doesn’t work.
