Chinese D2 has the somewhat undeserved reputation of being brittle and blades may break under stress, especially around the tips. I would say that blade geometry and uneven hardening may be more of a factor here than general build quality. Can’t wait for the test video. :)

I agree with you on the end of the grip design, it could have used an extended tang with a lanyard hole. I don't understand where the comparison to a dagger comes from, the blade shape doesn't come close to a toothpick (with or without a (false) swedge), much less to a two edged dagger. Anyway, I like the overall design though. :)

Needs more meat on the spine and an extra screw on the handle for D2 imho. Appreciate its simplicity though, alot of the Chinese knives are over cooked in the looks department.

It's a very nice looking knife, but judging by the design of the knife, I'd say that it's more of a big camping knife than a chopper so the lack of a lanyard hole doesn't bother me. It's most likely gonna be cutting, carving and slicing way more than chopping, especially since I don't completely trust a blade grind that high and thin on D2. Although I have to say, due to your recommendations, I ordered myself the ef128 and 135 and I am super stoked to get them.

Great knife, stout and looks pretty slicey! Excellent clip. I've put that clip on several of my knives, including a couple I've gotten from you bro!!! And for me, D-2 steel goes above and beyond any of my knife needs. I really like D-2 steel...
