great video but i would of also liked a part on international diversification the usa is big but not the entire world if you only invest in the usa you are not doing diversification optimally
maybe Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF would be a better one to buy and hold forever?

if you open the account as an IRA; however (preferably a Roth IRA), the minium investment drops to $1K

I got this stock in 2021 for about $115, I haven't seen any return since and don't know if I will. I, unfortunately, bought it at its peak ever.

Read a book about retirement on autopilot; and it basically said just buy VTSAX.. and I have moved everything to Vanguard and just put it all on VTSAX.

Inflation depreciates idle money. I'm in a privileged position to be able to save almost 65% of our net household income, as I placed it on safer investments. The key for us was not spending beyond our means. If you invest and have other sources of income outside of dividends then you will be able to live off dividends. Got north of $520K in my portfolio as I bought a lot of dividend stocks before, I'm buying more now, and I will buy more when it drops further.

The only problem .if you you invest with this today you could lose 1/2 by next year. The only way to make money you have to keep it invested for 30 years. Unfortunately we don't know if we gonna live 20 or 30 years from now only God knows that. Yes your money could double few times but a house that cost 1 million dollars today may cost 3,4 or even 5,6 million 30 years from now.

Love your videos! Agreed the VTSAX is an incredible Index Fund. Question, I can get Schwab's SWPPX identical holdings for 60.01 where as the VTSAX is 95.22. Percentages of holding very close as well.....is SWPPX the same buy?

Something I am curious about. I have a Roth IRA with my bank that I can trade through fee free and buy Vanguard stock. Is there any downside to me continuing to use my regular bank IRA as opposed to opening an IRA or a securities account directly through Vanguard.

Maybe a dumb question, but if active management isn't able to reliably beat the average, why is there an entire, massive industry of fund managers and traders out there actively picking stocks? What is the point of them? Is their career secretly worthless?

VTSAX is a good long term investment, but the most important thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the word. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies

Baron Rothschild once said: "Buy! Buy! When the blood is running in the street!" In other words, when the market takes a serious downward dump, DON'T panic and pull your money out; instead, start shoveling money in. Buy LOW, sell HIGH. All it takes is nerves of steel, but it works! I've been doing it for years, it got me a house in Florida!
