I wanted to ask you if you have a tutorial about how to eliminate the "order confirmation" window that pops every once in a while and disturb my trading.

I am not sure but TWS doesnt have ‘change from Previous day close. Change since open is different. It doesnt close at the day but at the post market. So lets say AAPL closes day at 100. But post market was 102. Next day if in the premarket AAPL stays at 102, the scanner will show 0% change. But it should show 2% gap..

regarding gap up strategy if the gap was supported by news how can i test the strategy and train on it regularly before trying to make maoney from it

My goal is to automate trades, but I don't do python or visual C, I use C++ Builder, so I got me a good Delphi library to talk to IB and write code to do a scan.
Also I've coded real time and historical mkt data.
If you were to go to a service for real-time data, It will cost you a lot of money, with IB it might cost you 10 USD a month.
Then you can programmatically extract it.
But I am building an automated scalper so the goal is not to have something on the screen, but to build algos to detect buying patterns based on that real time data.
