WELL> my 2009 fx35 has over 200 thou., and the drive still excites me. I luv this suv. It is the best car I ever own in my 66yrs on this planet. No extra ordinary issues so far, yet. I hope they, Infiniti, bring back THIS SHAPE AND STYLE IN ELECTRIC soon, b4 I move on. I am sure it would give THE TESLA some competition here in the USA. I now have my eyes on the Massarati that has somewhat of a similar shape, but this fx35 may outlast me.

Power Door ON/OFF is turning on and off the electrical operation of tailgate. So if you switch off via this button then your boot work in old fashion way: Manual.

Those sold like crazy in America, mostly with the 3.7 V6.

Check out the interior on the M37 and Q70 to see what Nissan is capable of.

Love this car, got a 2016 QX70 sports package. My wife drives the younger brother, 2017 QX50, she loves that car. Said the 70 was a little too large for her. I said that's ok, daddy drives the bigger car anyway. lol

So British buyers don't know anything about cars...they buy the biggest maintenance nightmare pile of junk as long as it has a small engine that burns less fuel and a "nice" interior...🤦‍♂️

I have no idea what you're on about...the german interiors are just a bunch of crappy plastic pieces that break and look like trash. I guess its all how you see it. I just sat in a 2010 bmw m5 and the interior is total 🚮

I owned a 2003 FX45 until 2015. It was a perfect car. My wife currently has a QX70 limited and loves it. These are the lowest maintenance cars we've ever owned and they drive very well. I know many people who obsess over their cars and will proudly spend a fortune for unreliable cars. I've had discussions with such people and they'd still pick their more expensive unreliable cars over a reliable brand such as Infiniti because of things like "the feel of the knob when you touch it, or stroke the interior materials." I've discovered these are often people who value material possessions over the value of human life and lack practical sense and abilities. Life doesn't last forever.

I have 2013 Pearl white FX37 . I still love it. My husband tells me that I should get a newer car, but, I still love my baby, and I only drive a few days a week. I must admit the FX55 is a beauty, but I don't drive enough to justify a $55m car. So I think I'll keep it and in a few year, I get a used FX55.😢

I own a 2016 Q70, AWD with the 3.7 V6. It is a blast to drive. Great build quality and extremely reliable. I love the looks and the driving dynamics. Wouldn't trade it for anything German. I have had BMW and Mercedes brand vehicles, none of which are all that reliable. Kudos to Infiniti!

This Infiniti was ahead of it time and one of only few SUV that handle like a sport sedan.

I have an Infiniti FX37, G37S coupe and Q50S and a Lexus IS350. I actually love driving this car then the lexus is350.

And it still so good until this day. In fact better looking then all the new SUV because the newer one all look the same.

Very reliable and cheap to maintain.

This is a drivers focused suv, handles very well. Very stable at high speed. Eats the curves and corners. As a previous owner of a few lexus suvs, i regretted why this i didnt buy this one. Very good built, not the modern dash but i dont care, as i only care how it drives. the Got 2017 with 60k kms. Low maintenance and nissan reliability.

The pre-2014 models before they put CVTs in everything mandatory (not against CVTs entirely, they have their place, but the Xtronic nissan uses sucks) are super tempting. The crossovers have Skyline engines ffs. AWD or otherwise - beutiful interiors, ahead of their time features, last for 250-300k miles or even more, etc. A 2010-2013 is a nice daily outside of gas mileage. The non-SUV/CUV stuff may be better tho on gas obv.

I've been looking at your reviews of the Maserati Quattroporte and Ghibli and while it's not quite like them you can definitely compare them.
I'm talking about the Infiniti G37
The poshed up Skyline.
It's a 4 door saloon, it's fun, it's fast,
It's exclusive, it's different. One big difference it's reliable. Would love to see you do a review of one.

That is the very same reason all european cars are becoming fat, heavy blobs with 1000hp and nm cause everybody wants to look rich and drive around in luxury and not have a reliable, solid built ca that won't fall apart in 5y but yeah the regular european doesn't understand japanese cars in general so.. too bad for the rest of us who like em but don't have the good ones.

Infinity should bring back the QX30 and redesign it to look like the 2018 Mercedes GLA sport compacted suv.
That car had a lot of potential because it looked like a mercedes.
They should focus more on the QX30 instead of the ugly FX.

Planning to get a QX30 but I'm hoping they will come up with more modern models...

Agree 10000% I have owned a Q50S Hybrid and am currently driving a Q60S, what they call a "Red Sport" in the US. Infinity cars make a lot of sense once you have owned and driven them for some time. Then the design decisions all make sense. Coming from all sorts from Toyota to BMW I absolutely love my Q60. Ridiculously fast, comfortable and drop-dead gorgeous. I cannot replace it adequately without spending North of 60k.

I can agree exactly what you're saying. It's just a slightly posher nissan qashqai, I had a top of the range 4x4 and it had quite a nice interior for the money and the turbo diesel was quiet. Punchy, the only problem is they're made by Renault, which means they're generally going to break eventually. Now got a Mazda
CX-5 its miles better

I don’t give a Flying Fortress about “infotainment” tech crap that you won’t spend the time learning to use anyway. I want a big massive luxurious V8 SUV that can tow my huge RV, look great, and will keep me completely safe in an accident.

The first and second generation fx/qx are way ahead of their time and almost all crossovers copied the infiniti design.
I owned a 2005 fx and loved it absolutely, and I sold it and bought the 2009 fx35 2nd gen.
I agree with the video, the interior is tacky for a premium brand, and reusing door panel trims and buttons from Nissan lower vehicles is a turn off, but the exterior design and the impression it gives makes me love it still.
The infotainment is also tacky and outdated, so I got the tesla like tall screen from China and it gives the car a lovely look inside.

So I will say this Infiniti is seen as a lesser car brand in the grand scheme of the American luxury car market.. we mostly stick to Acura, Lexus, and their European equivalents.. I would like to share my a little first hand experience with used luxury car shopping in the U.S. and more specifically in Texas.. first I must preface this people in Texas typically drive longer and farther than their peers from overseas and even those from other states.. and with our ambient temperature being on the higher side cars show their age quickly.. while I was shopping for a car I was looking at a 2013 Lexus LS460, 2016 BMW 750i, and 2012 Mercedes S550 I decided to go with the Lexus for a few reasons.. first reason being the condition of the vehicles the S550 had 110k miles (roughly 177k kilometers) on the odometer and the interior showed it headliner sagging, buttons sticky and cheap feeling from the Texas sun baking the plastics, the leather was cracked and ripped, and the suspension was sagging.. meanwhile the 750i had 150k miles (241k kilometers) on the clock and had the same issues as the Mercedes but with some added mechanical faults and less features than either the Lexus or the Mercedes.. then I looked at the LS460 which had 116k miles (186k kilometers) on the odometer, the interior had some bits that were off like one of the seat climate mobs was missing but replaceable, the seats were in decent condition no rips or tears, the car was fairly mechanically sound, the car drove nice, the buttons were nice and well maintained over all it was the best out of the 3 and it was in the best cosmetic shape.. now the one thing I didn’t mention the Mercedes was $21,400, the BMW was $27,800 and my Lexus was $25,540 after tax, title, and license I paid $27,980 for my car and honestly it’s been the best car I’ve ever owned I love it to death

Umm.. the Infiniti FX was the most successful SUV in their lineup, and it had quite the success, particularly the first generation which still looks timeless. Infiniti's failure, if anything, had to do with them hiring DeNysschen and changing course from sporty, BMW-esque inspired Japanese vehicles to cheap, Mexican made, no frills pseudo-luxury utes. They also got rid of their well known nameplates such as the FX, G, M, and EX. Had they stayed true to their origins and not mess around with what already worked, they would've been a solid, stable, and profitable brand these days. They got nothing but themselves to blame. Greed blinded them. They wanted to play a Lexus/Acura with the cheap FWD utes and it rebounded on them in the worst way possible. Sad but deserved.
