Why Weather Forecasts Suck

It had been forecast for at least a week beforehand that today, Sunday 1/21/24, was supposed to be sunny with not a single cloud in the sky ALL DAY in Westerville Ohio (a suburb of Columbus). I verified this forecast late yesterday afternoon, Saturday 1/20/24. Today 1/21/24, the forecast has changed to overcast, gray and cloudy and that is what it is when I look outside. It's obvious that they are geoengineering the weather. When will people truly wake up? And I don't mean the false "woke" that they keep pushing.

Definitions of fore: ahead; in advance of; prior to; before
Definitions of cast: 1) to cause (a magic spell) to take effect; 2) to shape, fashion, form, build or create something
Forecast: they know ahead of time what weather they're going to create with their technology (magic)

A inaccurate forecast is not a forecast at all, it is a guess.

5G .... no seriously 5G is a big reason why weather forecasts have become more inaccurate. It's so happens that the satellites detecting water vapor operate on the same frequency as 5G.
Somebody at the FCC screwed up or payed off to allow 5G to develop

It's so frustrating when weather forecast says "it will be rainy tomorrow" but turned out to be fair weather all along, or vice versa. And I don't get why predict the weather for the next five days when they can't even accurately predict the weather for the next 24 hours.

This is due to weather channels/meteorologists' budget cuts for a secret.

I always believe the opposite of what meteorologist say about the weather.

Conveted rain must be a moth because it’s hast rained for 3 months where I live and they have said 80% Chances the last 5 days and it’s just goes away as soon as it gets with in a 10 mile radius

The weather channel will go from 85% chance of rain. Look at it 30 min later it goes down to 15%. Florida... I use it to see if I can ride my bike to work or not. Why do they even bother.

I'm not paranoid, but: I always swore it was because wherever I lived, the weather persons specifically just wanted to F with me.

You can go to the weather predictions and they’ll say no rain when you can literally see a giant rain cell as big as an entire state headed straight for you. So yeah not an exact science and I think human energy helps create the weather.

Why I don't hear that on TED or something like that, because there are about numbers, that we don't have enough information.

Thank you a lot, now it's easier for me to understand why forecasting so complicated, because it's complicated, there a lot of factors and those convective rains.

I wait for a moment that should happen with me when children at school would know something like that while adults don't. Because I have experienced that with my seniors - revolutionary things in past now are ordinary.

Nope it's wet bias. You might go an entire year without seeing a day predicted to not rain get rain, whereas basically half the time it's predicted to rain it doesn't, and half of the rest it's not nearly as bad as predicted. It's chronically overpredicted and quite literally never underpredicted

I pay attention to weather on a near hourly basis for my job and travel the country for it. It has almost nothing to do with this and everything to do with whiny viewers that would rather have wildly inaccurate predictions so long as it never disappoints them. Plus saying everything is going to be fine for the next 10 days doesn't sell

Honestly it doesn't seem that innacurate these days, week long forecasts seem to be pretty damn accurate when I bother checking (mostly to bitch about the Temperature to foreign friends without them saying their place it worse lol)

The problem isn't that the meteorologists are not sure of the forecast but hype the bad weather that doesn't happen. If you say for 3 days we are going to get a lot of snow then the storm goes south or north and you only get flurries or it doesn't help the meteorologists credibility.

Where I live, I doubt they could get yesyerday's weather correct, never mind what the current is or future holds.
Even the phone apps just seem to suggest this weeks weather will be the same as this time last year, then updating that hourly and still getting it wrong. It is really really embarrassing how inaccurate they are.
The running joke is just to assume the opposite of what they predict.
They would be better off just sticking their head out the window and giving a report.

I am a weather enthusiast and have a small weather channel on twitter. I live in Bengaluru (south india) and more than 90% of the rain we receive (quantitatively) is from monsoon withdrawal phase thuderstorms (convective rain) and i can confirm that even the most brilliant meteorologists, radars etc cannot track these systems. Also it is a pain when people comment "is it going to rain here?" Cuz their movements are erratic as HELL.

It'll be awesome when our civilization gets to a point in existence where we can control the weather so we could know exactly what time it will rain and when the sun will shine. That will be mind-blowing to our generation.

This is why I always carry an umbrella with me. Too hot climate, I can use it; Rainy climate, I can also use it.
